From: http://www.realredskins.com/rich-tandlers-real-redsk/2013/05/need-to-know-point-spreads-out-for-first-15-games.html,
which includes a comparison with other teams as well...

"....In all, the Redskins are favored in eight of the 15 games, are
underdogs in six and one, their Week 11 game in Philadelphia, is a
pick ‘em.

The lines for the Redskins’ first 15 games:

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins (-4.5)
Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers (-4.5)
Detroit Lions at Washington Redskins (-2.5)
Washington Redskins (-4) at Oakland Raiders
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys (-1.5)
Chicago Bears at Washington Redskins (-1.5)
Washington Redskins at Denver Broncos (-6)
San Diego Chargers at Washington Redskins (-3.5)
Washington Redskins at Minnesota Vikings (-1.5)
Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles (PK)
San Francisco 49ers (-1.5) at Washington Redskins
New York Giants at Washington Redskins (-1.5)
Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Redskins (-4.5)
Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons (-3)
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins (-2.5)"

Makes sense, but who knows. I have no idea what to expect from their offense.

> Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers (-4.5)

I'd give the Packers even more.

> Detroit Lions at Washington Redskins (-2.5)

Ok

> Washington Redskins (-4) at Oakland Raiders

I think the spread would be even bigger if the 'skins didn't have to travel across the country.

> Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys (-1.5)

-1.5 at Dallas is basically a pick-em.

> Chicago Bears at Washington Redskins (-1.5)

I don't get this at all. The Bears should win this

> Washington Redskins at Denver Broncos (-6)

High altitude, and a QB who can pick apart the 'skins inexperienced safeties.

> San Diego Chargers at Washington Redskins (-3.5)

I'd make this spread bigger.

> Washington Redskins at Minnesota Vikings (-1.5)

This is interesting, only because of all the hype around the Vikings' draft. The skins are a good match-up for the Vikings.

> Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles (PK)

Who knows.

> San Francisco 49ers (-1.5) at Washington Redskins

Not even a close game. 49ers are loaded with talent. The only way this goes the other way is if the 9ers pull a 2000 Redskins, get overconfident, and then implode when faced with failure.

> New York Giants at Washington Redskins (-1.5)

Any smart, ball distributing QB with a quick release is going to have a good year against the 'skins.

> Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Redskins (-4.5)

Pfft.

> Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons (-3)

Ditto, but the 'skins game them a good scare last time.

> Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins (-2.5)"

I think by this time, the Cowboys will be done and playing out the season.

Really? With both teams having finished 10-6 last year?

snip... How can you make any predictions when we don't even know who
our QB will be?

I don't think it really matters during week one.

It will either be a slower, rusty RG3 who hasn't had a lot of reps in camp...or...KC1 who will have had lots of reps during camp. Those two scenarios are a wash to me.

Also, recent seasons have shown that defenses have difficulty defending the pass early in the season. They haven't developed their chemistry yet.

You really think the annointed one's knee is going to hold up
for a full season?

The first time a defensive player grabs him and drags him down
that knee will be history again.

Forever.

There is nothing about Robert's knee that makes it more likely to be injured by a hit. His re-construction and rehab actually make it slightly stronger. Really, every player's knees are just as vulnerable.

There are reconstructed knees taking hits all over the NFL every Sunday.

The risk with Robert is swelling, inflammation, and lack of mobility. Like what happened to Tim Hightower. That has little to do with hits.
