3 and out for the Lions again. It really is a tale of two halves.

Yes, indeed.

I'm 15 miles north of Levi Stadium, and the ground is shaking.

BTW, who's the young lady in red behind Brock?

1957 has been avenged.

I used to hike down San Tomas creek and leave it around where the stadium is now, so
being close to the stadium sounds like a good experience. Here, people in the other
buildings got very noisy when the game finished. :)

I forgot about that game. They had a big lead and completely blew it. It
had to have been in Kezar and the fans had a habit of raining beer and
whatever else they had on the players as they walked under the stands.

With all the noise about the decades of Lions' futility, and that 1957
was their last Championship, I'm surprised that nobody (at least in
49ers circles) mentioned how the Lions got to the Finals. After that,
the 49ers were pretty much irrelevant until about 1969, in the John
Brodie era.

Yes, the game was at Kezar, and I understand that fans were pretty
obnoxious. I remember seeing a quote from George Halas, something to
the effect that when 49ers fans boo you, they really boo you (and tone
of admiration).

There some nice videos of Lions fans leave their seats and heading
for the exits and the Niner fans left them alone, even giving them
sympathetic pats on the back. The only person who got plenty from
the fans was Eminem. :)
