It's been a while since the KFFL entered these hallowed newsgroups.
Here is a portion of our Hot Off The Wire page. One of the (if not the)
most updated pages on the Internet in terms of NFL material. If anyone
finds any other fantasy football site that updates their version of this
page faster, more consistently and packed with more information than
ours, anything we offer for pay is yours free!
Now to some NFL News.
Kind Of Expected
11:55 AM ET: Vikings president Roger Headrick resigned on Friday after
Red McCombs officially took over the team. He had hoped to stay one more
season to see the Vikings continue to move forward in the playoffs, but
it just did not work out.
Still Hurting
11:55 AM ET: Oilers WR Yancey Thigpen is still bothered by his groin
injury and probably will not play against the Saints this weekend.
Speaking of the Saints, the Oilers have been looking at former Saints DE
Renaldo Turnbull, as have some other teams, but the Oilers seem to be
the favorite to sign him at this point (according to his agent).

11:30 AM ET: Mark passes along some Packers notes...
Strange Twist
4:30 AM ET: The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting a strange twist
in the Ryan McNeil holdout saga. At a press conference on Friday he said
that he's thinking of sitting out the first four games of the year.
According to his agent Brian Ransom, that tactic would mean that McNeil
would make about $2.5 million (after giving up four games worth of
salary), doubling his 1997 salary, while reducing the risk of injury by
missing all four pre-season games and four of the Rams' 16
regular-season games. He would also have 12 games to prove his worth to
the other teams for the future.
Colts Impact Report
4:10 AM ET: Dutch has written an Impact Report on the Indianapolis
Colts. Enjoy!
Worse Than Thought?
3:35 AM ET: The MRI taken on the knee of Broncos' OL David Diaz-Infante
indicated he suffered a partial ligament tear Thursday in practice. The
Broncos could lose him for much longer than the four to six weeks
they're projecting if further tests show the tear to be worse.
Contact Finally?
2:50 AM ET: The Charlotte Observer is reporting that the agent for
Panthers holdout DE Jason Peter has sent a contract proposal to the
team. It's the first time in almost a month the two sides have had any
communication. The Panthers plan to look over the proposal this weekend.
Still Hurting
2:46 AM ET: Coach Bobby Ross of the Lions is still estimating that TE
David Sloan will stay on the PUP list for six to eight more weeks as he
attempts to recover from his knee problems.
