We're gonna be talking about this one until the end of time, folks. Kyle Shanahan's decision to not defer at the start of the overtime period of Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs will go down as one of the most controversial coaching decisions in NFL history, especially with the benefit of hindsight. But in reality... this was the right call, and I would've done the same exact thing. This is a defense of that decision.
