Hacksaw sucks. He is such a blowhard.

We have imitations because there was no other sports radio to which we
could listen.

The Chargers have had two awesome personnel moves this decade. One was
hiring AJ Smith. The other was firing Hacksaw Hamilton.

thanks,

I'd welcome Hacksaw back to do play by play in a jiffy. YMMV.

That is a brutal observation.

Perhaps it's the price we pay for the great weather.

hamilton is the most intellectually dishonest announcer I have ever
heard, and several years ago I had the distinct honor and privilege of
telling the ferret head bastard that to his face. Sweet!

The following was a post by out friend Al, who still posts here, and
the exchange that followed.

------------------------------------------------------------Hello
everyone, I'll give this one more try. If I still get overloaded with
SPAM, I'm going to give up Usenet forever. I was listing my Yahoo
email
address but that was getting overloaded with SPAM addressed directly
to me.

The reason I'm posting is to share a hilarious story about one of your
fellow long time posters here in the Usenet group. A lot of you know
that
some of us post regularly on a couple different Web based boards. The
following post is from one of those groups. If you hate Hacksaw's 15
minutes
of fantasy, you'll love reading this.

BTW, Hacksaw said tonight that he interviewed about 50 people. He'll
be
playing some of those reports this week. I doubt if he be replaying
this
one. I hope that he does though. maybe I should start tape record his
show
for a couple of days.

Enjoy,
Al

Well, (shy blush), I was at camp today sitting with NCbolt.
Butterknife
Hamilton was interviewing people in the stands before the drills
began. I
was hoping he would come to me because there are things I have wanted
to say
to him for a long time. Luckily enough he came over and stuck the
microphone
(he was taping) in my face, and asked me a question. I really don't
know
what he asked, really don't care.

I said, "Lee, I have nothing to say to you."

He said, "why not?"

I answered, "Because I think you are the most intellectually dishonest
broadcaster I have ever listened to."

Hamilton asked, "Why", and I told him, "When the Chargers tied a can
to your
tail you spent the next couple of years doing everything you could to
harm
this organization. You make things up, insult the listeners
intelligence,
stir the pot when there is no need to, and I have no respect for you."

As I finished what I was saying I turned my head away from him back to
the
field in a dismissive manner. NCbolt says he had a look on his face
like he
had been kicked in the balls. Good! I hope the little phony prick took
it
just that way.

Damn, that felt GOOD!

You forgot to tell him that he was just going to go on the air and say
there was only 25 people here anyway so why ask any of us questions at
all.

Good move CC, there just might be a slim chance that the "butterknife"
will take a hard look in the mirror before he gets on the air and goes
through his usual bag of tricks.

Dude, you've got balls.

That is a sweet, sweet story.

On the flip side, Hacksaw's gotta be something of an idiot. Only a
blind moron would publicly flame their employer like that over and
over.

One thing that got to me is he would repeatedly misuse the word
"credibility". "THE CHARGERS DIDN'T SIGN <insert big free agent name
here>! WHERE IS THEIR CREDIBILITY?"

Memo to Hacksaw: the word "credibility", when used in that context,
questions a person's/organization's ability to tell the truth. The
fucking idiot was engaging in ad hominems on his employers on the
radio and he probably didn't even realize it. The term he should've
been using is "quality of the product" or something like that, but
even then, why the hell, if you want to keep your job, would you
downtalk the quality of your employer's product?

Everything Hacksaw got, he deserved. Idiot. And it's not like I'm in
favor of Pollyannaistic Homers either.

Are Bauer and Lewis still doing the radio PBP? Gods, Bauer is annoying.
He's the reason alone I'd rather watch the game "transpire" on nfl.com
than rent the season pass.
