is that I found a team to absolutely HATE.

The Patriots.

Like most, I kinda rooted for them in 2001. I respected them later.
Then I noticed they were getting too much respect from the officials.
Pass interference was called great defense and ignored. Holding was
called great blocking and ignored.

It is much easier to play the game when you can cheat.

Then there's Belichik. Don't like him. Thought he was a jerk when he
stiffed Mangini. Thought he was a double jerk when he pushed a camera
man to give Mangini a hug after the Pats won. Now he's got his team
taunting like the Miami Hurricanes and they will pay. Probably Tom
Brady will get the check soon enough.

He's a smart football coach, but he's a jerk. I sense his time is
drawing near. I hope either Peyton or Payton punks him bad. Hopefully
it is the first that gets a shot at him.

Strange, but I hate the Colts for no obvious resaons, and I'm not from
Baltimore, and I really like Tony Dungy.
I think it's Manning. He seems to be an arrogant SOB, though obviously
a future Hall of Famer. I always want to see him take a big hit, but
it never seems to happen.

The ignored calls were as much or more in favor of your beloved
Chargers yesterday. Way too much crybabying on the part of Chargers
fans. Not a single national outlet has given any credence to this
foolishness. Only the severely disappointed Charger fans are spouting
it.

With the Colts, it is one guy. With the Patriots, it is the whole
team.

Nah, it was cheating. I'm a Cowboys fan. More than half a dozen
horrible missed holding calls on the Pats OL. Frankly, I don't blame
them for cheating, the Pats OL was not good enough to block cleanly
and let Brady pass.

Brady was off in the passing game because he was jittery out of fear
of the rush.

The Patriots' reaction was the last gasp of a team that knows they're
getting by on rep and they're turning into poor winners.

I don't hate the pats. I just don't care about them. I hate the Indy
Colts and taunt their fans every chance I get. I lived in that area when
the trucks left Baltimore. I've met Johnny Unitas and he was a greater
man than anyone playing in Indy today. And, as much as Cleveland may be
upset with Baltimore, at least they got to keep their records and
colors. Indy is now laying claim to Baltimore's records and it's, IMHO,
an unforgivable crime.

I, too, felt the officiating was horrendous, but I thought it went both
ways.

That being said, I can't say the Patriots deserved to win this game after
the way they played. By the same token, the Chargers DID deserve to lose it
for the way they played.

14 points off SD turnovers

another Patriots drive extended by the stupidest of personal fouls

1 timeout, and approximately 45 seconds (4 or 5 more plays worth of time)
because of a ridiculous challenge by Schottenheimer.

Three straight passing plays, in the final minute, in the center of the
field. The Chargers probably lost 30 seconds of clock time right there.

NE won the game, but not on it's own merit and performance.

That kills the NFL for me in a lot of ways. It is becoming like
basketball where some stars get the calls.

If your defense is predicated on pass rush and they can hold you from
the back around your neck with no call repeatedly, you've got an
officiating problem.

Unsportsmanlike penalties are called haphazardly, IMO. Some OOB hits
are flagged and many aren't.

What is pass interference? The call Dougie posted about yesterday sure
was PI. They refuse to call PI for a lot of real muggings.

Should have been offsetting penalties, IMO. The retaliator usually
pays the price, why not this time?

Well said Rod.

It astounds me that 3 of 4 winners this weekend had fewer yards-per-play
than their opponent. The exception being the heavily favored Bears.

I actually agree with you. Belichik is an asshole and the team seems to

Given that Manning has a history of blaming others and throwing teammates
under the bus at every opportunity, I just take some glee in listening to
him try to explain another post-season failure.

After this last "win," he basically threw his entire defense under the bus
with his, "I can't play both sides of the ball" remark.

He can be punked. Dallas punked him. The Titans punked him. Both this
season. He'll either be punked in the AFCC game or the Super Bowl, because
either New England, New Orleans or Chicago can beat the Colts if they come
to play.

What a baby you are, The Chargers are completely classless, did you see the
rally? The talked smack all week, were jerks in 2005 and talked smack and
when it came time to walk the walk they folded and their cry baby RB cries
like a little pussy. What did he say about the Chargers smack, the popcorn
sent to Jason Taylor, the F*** Raiders shirt he wore, the rally? What a
little pussy. I'm glad you hat the Patriots because if you can't see that

This just proves that the typical Pats fan is as classless as the team
he roots for. You can't even deny how your team acted, you can only

I don't think I've ever seen such hypocracy in my life. It's perfectly
fine for the Chargers to talk smack, and perform mocking dances when
they make a big play, but when it's thrown back at them, the other team
is classless. If you want to make the argument that all teams should
win, and lose, with a certain level of decorum, and hold that position
regardless of how it reflects on the team you root for, so be it. But
when you call the Patriots "classless", without commenting on how your
beloved Chargers behaved both before the game and during it, you lose
all credibility. You just come accross as a bad loser and a major
hypocrite.

Anapolis Dave? How the hell are you? Right now I hate the Pats because of
the tough loss and I want their trolls to experience what we did. However,
over time, that could pass. I always tend to root against teams like the
Colts, Raiders, Rams, Ravens, Titans for pulling their Al Davis move and
dumping their city without league approval (IIRC, the Cards at least got
league approval). Of course, having a Manning at QB doesn't help matters.

This week, I will hold my nose and root for the Colts (kind of like holding
my nose and rooting for the Dodgers against the Stankees). Then I will root
like hell for the NFC team to win the whole thing, especially if it is the
Drew Brees lead Saints. Since the wife is from Chicago, I won't cry if the
Bears make it either.

i would be an arrogant sob if i was a great qb like he was...I wish every qb

Manning after a posession he is over there hammering out photoshots of the
