It was fairly obvious that the Falcons, down and going out in their
game at Atlanta this date, INTENTIONALLY set out to injure Ben. A
two-player hit to Roethlisberger's head and neck put him out of a game
in which the Steeler's QB had passed for more than 250 yards just after
halftime! After laying on the field for about 5 minutes, Ben was
carried off on a gurney, but returned to the sideline at the start of
the 4th quarter.

Such a blatant "hit," to intentionally hurt a key player, should carry
an automatic two-game suspension for BOTH both defensive players! This
went way beyond "roughing the passer"!But we'll see if the NFL takes
any action..

Meanwhile, at 3:50 p.m. EST the Falcons were on top, 35-31 ... early in
4th quarter ...

Seems like the refs have done a miserable job controlling this game. How
many scrums can there be on the field before the refs decide to throw a
flag. Heck, one of the Falcons players even knocked down a ref, and there
was no flag.

Clearly, Big Ben is injury prone. I know the hit he took was vicious but it
is just another injury for him. I am amazed at a guy like Peyton Manning
who has never missed a game due to injury.

Gee, it looked like good, legal, hard hitting defense to me... otherwise
known as "football".

Quitcher crying.

I hope that the NFL takes action. That hit was ridiculous. Hope
Roethlisberger is not seriously injured.

Oh please. The hit was clean, Ben's head is just a little squishy
after he did his bug flying into a windshield impression.

I admit to not following the Steelers for a while. Is this typical?
When did their fans become such whiners? Doesn't sound like the
"buckle up your chin strap" fans I used to know. Hittin' out of bounds
is one thing, but this was just hard-nosed football. Get over it,
already.

Like the hit on Carson Palmer in the playoffs dickface. The Stealers have
consistently targeted opponent's key players for injury. How's it feel?

Heya, to the rest of the readers here.

As a long time Patriots fan (I am) the one thing I've learned is the more
other team / player bashing, the more problems for your/my team, Falcons,
Atlanta.

They should be executed on the spot. Also, decimation (look up the actual
Roman meaning of the word) of their teams line corps should occur.
Maybe a gladiator as well.
