Whats your thoughts on the game this weekend(Not predictions) what do you
think the Eagles and Cowboys must do to win?

The Raiders just beat the Cowboys and the Eagles need to watch a tape
of that game to get some insight on how Oakland handled Parcells & Co.

The Cowboys know the Eagles special teams suck and their running game
is non-existent. It's pretty obvious that their secondary will focus
on shutting down McNabb his receivers.

That pretty much sums it up.

I really don't think they need to watch tapes pf the JV Raiders to
understand the Clownboys. We've beaten them more times in the last 5
years than I can remember, many times blowing them out. Please take
your little tape somewhere else. The Raiders suck and the Clownboys
suck.

I usually post a breakdown before the game, here's some quick thoughts
though.

Dallas will have some protection problems and Bedsore will
be pressured all day, especially from Jevon on the right side
against Pettiti.

Jones will be held to 80 yards on the ground again.
Walker hopefully plays this week and Thomas
needs to show up.

Dallas will try and use TE Witten a lot.

TO will have some success against Henry,
and Roy Boy will see the back of his uni
all day. You may see Parcells try
and match up T.Newman one on one
with TO with some bracket help
ala DeAngelo Hall.

Westbrook will eat their LB's alive
in the passing game.

Eagles must pass block well on the inside
against Ferguson and their DT's.

I think this will be the biggest advantage for
the Cowboys. Good pass rush up the
middle to make McNabb run against
fast LB's and the secondary.

For the Eagles to win, I think the Eagles have to show up.

For the Cowboys to win, I think the Eagles need to fail to arrive at
the stadium.

Once again Tooney's either talking out of both sides of his ass or he
doesn't have a clue about what he's talking about. If these linebackers
are so great, Tooney, why are you over in the Clownboy group worrying

I think Dallas has to be able to run the ball 1st.Seems most teams so far
this season has been putting an extra man upfront to stop JJ.If Philly does
this Dallas will have some 1 on 1s that they gotta exicute on.Philly will
get theirs ,there is no stopping that, but Dallas cant make any mistakes and
give them more.Im a big Dallas fan,I think the Eagles should win,but they

Eagles simply have more talent at too many positions and the
consistency of running the same system with the same players for much
longer. The young D-lineman in Dallas haven't adapted to the scheme
yet. The safety is a linebacker and covers like one. They are prone to
getting beat deep and with any adjustments to compensate, open up
underneath. Even if JJ gets on track early, the Eagles won't let up, as
a much better back in Priest Holmes found out. They adjust and execute.
Not to mention that I feel the Eagles defensive backfield is the best
in the business.

As always, the game hinges on one thing. The Cowboys can't tackle
McNabb. He got away from the rush many times in the game in Dallas
last year. Remember the 14 second scramble? In the December game, he
ran right by the whole defense on the game-winning TD drive.

Buddude197

Yeah, but the biggest change to that is McNabb's injuries, he can't
move like last year. That 14 second scramble wouldn't happen this
season because of the hernia. The line has however done a good job of
protecting him given the number of throws he's made. He leads the
league in passes but has only been sacked 6 times. The Cowboys will
blitz which I think McNabb embraces because of their penchant for
giving up the long ball.

What an assclown. Andy Reid and his staff are paid to win games. You
don't win games by taking an opponent lightly.

Fans on the other hand...gamesmanship is what its about. Right now in
your group there are fans who are trying to convince themselves they
can win this game. Their rationalizations make perfect sense to
somebody who is a Dallas fan. Here, its nothing but drivel uttered by a
bunch of halfwits. Why should we Eagles fans take the Clownboys
seriously? Some of the best times I've had over the last five years

Until the Cowboys prove otherwise, the Eagles have their number.
Interesting you should bring up the Redskins game. It is precisely
BECAUSE of that game that what little respect we have for your moribund
pathetic franchise has dimished. The Redskins have one of the worst
offenses in the league...and they scored twice on Dallass on their own
turf in the last three minutes of the game.

What we say about each other's teams has nothing to do with Sunday.

Good points. If they take away the deep stuff they still get crushed by
Westbrook. You can't take Westbrook AND Owens out of the game. You

Ending an eight-season domination and our perception of "owning" them.

True, but that's what these newsgroups are for, for fans to debate
opinions. If any of us were coaches for either team it'd be different,
but we're not. Dallas or Philly, we're just people with opinions - and
you know what they say about those, they're like assholes, everybody has
one and everybody thinks theirs doesn't stink.

Well, that too, but well, it would mean the end of your "recent record
against the Cowboys" that's been getting so much mention in here this
week. It would put you at 3-2 which is where I doubt most Eagles fans
expected they'd be after 5 games. And it would serve notice that zthe
Eagles have some serious competition this year in the division.

Five or six of them. Historically, that's not much of a sample size. I
tried to look it up but couldn't find it - does anyone know the lifetime
record of Eagles-Cowboys games?

Prior to the Skins game, "14-1!" was one of the most recurring themes in
the newsgroup. The point I was making is that an impressive past record
against a division rival doesn't guarantee success in the next game.

> Please keep in mind that unless an
> Eagle has slipped in here, what WE say about our division domination

Well, no real Eagle would make that sort of comment - this is fans
talking to fans, not one-on-one conversations with the players
themselves.

> In the meantime, using their performance as my guide,
> I will consider the Cowboys to be no big threat who play half-assed

At least you're using my analogies back at me ;)

Your overconfidence is somewhat unique in here. While most Eagles fans
think they'll prevail tomorrow, most of them seem to be treating the
Cowboys as a legitimate threat that they'll need to play well against to
win. Half-assed won't get it done for either team.

That's oversimplifying it a bit. We lost for a number of reasons. For
one (and this might be relevant to you guys) I doubt the Cowboys took
the Skins seriously enough having been 15-1 in the last 8 years. We lost
because Cortez the Killer couldn't nail what should have been an easy
field goal early on. We lost because of overly-conservative
play-calling - playing not to lose instead of playing to win. And we
lost because Brunell made a couple of damned impressive throws when he
needed to.

Um, the Cowboys are "America's Team"....good to have your support but if
you're going to diss on everything American then why do you care about
the Cowboys?

Liar. You WISH you weren't the underdog. You WISH you weren't in last
place. You WISH you were on top of the league. But your wishes aren't
reality, so you pull this pathetic sour grapes bullshit. You also WISH you
were something more than a pathetic little troll, not even worthy of being
squashed by Eagles fans. But, once again, reality has left your wishes
unfulfilled.

But, in games where the Cowboys were coached by someone who's still alive
(Johnson, Switzer, Gailey, Campo and Parcells . . . since 1989) Eagles lead
19-13.

My, my! Aren't you letting your jealousy for your far superior southern
neighbor get to you just a little too much? Relax! Close your eyes. In a
few more weeks you and your countrymen can go back into your annual 6-month
hibernation, oblivious to all that goes on in the world around you. Not to
worry. Everyone else will be ignoring you, as always.

And also because your statue of a linebacker-playing-safety got burned like

Hardly.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=assclown

One, who, through the fault of his parents conception, is a skid mark in
society's collective underwear.

A person who, while under the influence, makes a complete fool of himself
while attempting humor. An assclown may wear an asshat.

A person who, while making a serious attempt as something, fails to realize
what a complete fool he has made of himself.

An untalented schmuck.

A person who is laughable and detestable at the same time.Usually pretends
to be a know-it-all,often enhancing their stories,knowledge, experience,and
every thing in between with pure bullshit.

noun: person who makes an attempt to provide factual information that is
clearly untrue.

Someone that thinks they are really sweet but aren't and draw attention to
themselves and look silly because of it,

What went wrong? Did touring the non-ghetto parts of the USA make you
homesick?

Far more often than not, yes.

And just what is the state of Canadian colleges and universities? Does such
a thing even exist, beyond "junior colleges" that will provide remedial
programs to prepare Canadian students for US colleges and universities?

Most Eagles fans (including JD) are far too smart to bet their house on a
football game. You, on the other hand, should feel free to bet yours on the
Cowboys. After all, the mortgage on a refrigerator box should be of
considerably less value than the change I pull out of my pockets at night,
and far, FAR less than what I'll put down on the Eagles (minus 3) tonight.

Sure. Now do you have anything to say that hasn't been said about eighty
fucking thousand times this week or are you through already. I'm not the
Roy-worshipper, dude's human, he fucks up sometimes. Don't tell me none
of your safeties have ever blown coverage.

Not twice within a couple of minutes that I can recall. But I've only been
watching the Eagles for 46 years. Might have happened once prior to 1959.

Hmm, quite interesting. Quite stupid, too. Just like you.
