Under Anderson and Quinn the Browns have scored 5 offensive TDs this
season.
Whay not try Ratliff? Mangini must have had a reason to trade for him
so why not give him a chance?

Wasn't there some thing about incentives that had to paid to Quinn
if he played in a certain percentage of snaps? They probably just
waited long enough to negate the incentives, and he was their choice
(for this season) all along.

Quinn gets an $11 million roster bonus if he takes 70% of the snaps in
the season.

He started the season and played badly enough to lose the job on the
merits. As badly has he played, the owner apparently decided he didn't
deserve that $11 million "bonus" no matter how badly Anderson played,
so they kept him on the bench until now, when it's impossible for him
to get that 70%.

I can't really argue with that -- the $11 million was supposed to be
for *good* play evidenced by the 70%.

That said, Anderson has been not merely even worse than Qunn but
*historically awful* -- as in candiate for "worst QB season in NFL
history" awful.

Poor, poor Mangini. You don't wish this even on a coach you don't
like. You'd rather seem him screw up on the merits and deserve the
flames you send him than be done in without having a chance.

If he had any creativity in him he'd dig up some formation to run
without any QB at all and have a better oiffense.

If I were Quinn on that team I'd demand to be traded no matter what the
incentives package was. That is one of the biggest disasters I've ever seen
in pro sports.
