It was evidently successful. I saw where he took most of Ellis' snaps
and didn't make one tackle.

i dont expect gholston will be on the roster next season. he may not
even be on any nfl roster. with rex being well known at developing
defensive guys... even guys that dont produce at first... what is left
for a player that cant get it done after rex has had his try ??? may
be he'll get a low cost deal from a team that is very thin at olb-de

If they get a CBA finished then he will probably be back. Remember we
still have Harris to sign so restructuring Gholston may help both
sides. We pay him more than his market value but restructuring helps
us w/ the cap.

To make this assessment you need to know what the scheme is exactly...and
his responsibilities. A lot of times a guy won't have a tackle but actually
did his job. If he is drawing a block or forcing something it may be he did
his job. I didn't see the whole game, I'd want to see how he played from a
broad vantage point...did he glaringly get blown out or allow huge gains?
If he didn't he could be doing his job and not making a lot of tackles. I
don't know that....or it could be he is a total waste...but if he is, I
seriously doubt Rex would allow him on the field.

Papa, I was being facetious. You are right. He could have done his
job. It was one thing that I like about Hobson in that no one got
around him on running plays and often times his positioning allowed
someone else to make the tackle.

I didn't notice him but by that point I was enjoying a victory.
