Check out some of these quotes... WOW !!! This is getting interesting.
I love DeGuglielmo already. The Italian "Rex"

" DeGuglielmo not only backed Hunter as the starting right tackle, but
he staked his reputation on him."

"• On why Hunter struggled so much last season: "You'd have to ask
(former OL coach) Bill Callahan. I think he's in the directory in
Dallas." "

"DeGuglielmo, who has Rex Ryan-like candor, also tweaked his
predecessor, the well-respected Callahan.

"I'm not worried about the ghost of Bill Callahan," he said. "The
difference between me and Bill: I have a Super Bowl ring, and he
doesn't." "

~ quote ~

DeGuglielmo could give head coach Rex Ryan a lesson in hyperbole. He
said center Nick Mangold is intelligent enough to fly the space
shuttle. He also had good things to say about Vlad Ducasse, the team's
2010 second-round pick who has yet to pan out.

"This isn't a bust," he said.

As for replacing Callahan, who Ryan loved to say was the best
offensive line coach in the NFL, DeGuglielmo did not sound
intimidated.

"You don't make it in this league if you don't know what you're
doing," he said. "The difference between me and Bill is I have a Super
Bowl ring and he doesn't."

DeGuglielmo was on the Giants staff in 2007 when they won the Super
Bowl as the team's assistant offensive line coach.

"Mangold could run the space shuttle, Ducasse isnt't a bust."

A little difference in the strength of endoresment there. :-) And
after the way he praised Hunter as Mr Universe too.

Yeah, I do remember when Callahan was the best OL coach in the league
-- and the secret OC running the O here on the weeks when it looked
good.

This year DeGuglielmo is the best OL coach in the league, Callahan was
a ring-less loser.

Next year...

interesting the way that works...

as far as who was behind the jets offense when it did good... they
never did very good... they had one bright spot as far as stats goes
most of the time... the red zone efficncy... that was tom moore's
doing, id guess...
