Any comments here ???
I think Weoss would be a good OC here. He did pretty well developing
Brady.
I think it will make the Pats a much better team to have a real OC.
They also haven't made O'Brien the OC yet in title, so it wouldn't mean
a demotion or firing. Although I think they'll be faced with having to
promote him to OC if they want to keep him.
I'm a ND fan and when Weiss went there, I thought he would win a
championship. I wanted Weiss as the Jet HC too at the time. I'm
still in shock that he did so poorly there. Considering the Pats
current offensive production, I cant imagine them being too much
better. What they hell do they want to do, score 60 points a game ???
All they need is some guys for their d-line and they will be just
about unbeatable. I dont think Weiss will be back there, nor do I
think he will get a HC job next year in the NFL. I think he'll be an
OC someplace in thw NFL, but not the Pats. I'd love for the Jets to
grab him. He'd be a HUGE advance on Schott. Paul Hackett would be
better then Schott. I hate to say it, but the Paul Hacket offense
would have been ideal this season with Sanchez.
They're scoring points in spite of the OC, not because of him. They've
beaten up some bad teams. They scored 24 (offensively) against the
Jets, despite having about a million possessions to do it with (thanks
Sanchez...). I think with Weis they would have won the Colts game and
the Broncos game.
The Denver loss is all on Tom Brady. Go back and watch that game. He
missed 8-10 wide open receivers including several in the end zone.
The Colts game, I'm still not sure how they lost that. Patriots should
be 9-1.
Weis is too predictable, I for one was happy to see him leave here.
I just thought of somthing. What about traveling to the away games
with both Rex and Weiss ??? A 747 or 767 wont make it off the
runway. They'll have to budget for a C5 Galaxy.
Weiss isn't fat anymore. He had gastric by pass.
Well he sure has huge jowls.
One other thing, he is still an excellent OC.
He has worked wonders turning an erratic Qb into a first round choice
(no small part into his recruiting two of the best WR in college
football).
Notre Dame is not losing football games because of its inability to
score. Their specials are not and Defense does not.
I never much liked Weiss when here, but in comparison to Shott, he at
least has a clue about his personnel.
