...that could be done. The Patriots released him before their London
game. and the Giants get ZERO for the conditional pick.

(There was a post in another thread that said the problem with the
running game was that he was the blocking tight end and was no longer
with the team.)

That is rediculous.
This running game hasn't collapsed because a minimum wage TE isn't on
the team.
He was here end of last year when it actually started.

That was in my post and it wasn't my intention to blame the running
game woes on his no longer being here. I was just wondering out loud
if his no longer being here has had any effect on the ground game.
Matthews was an excellent blocker and being that I don't see coaches
film I don't know if Darcy Johnson has been able to fill his role as a
blocker. My last sentence explained that I was just grasping for
answers.

Well, if he can help, he is out there free to be picked up as far as I
can tell. If they need a roster spot, they can always cut Sinorice Moss.
