Twice, in his 14 year NFL career, the man threw for more TDs then INTs.
Just twice. He finished with 125 TDs to 173 INTs.

I'm impressed with this stat because Eli doesn't look even that good.
If his last name wasn't Manning I don't think he'd feel so secure in
his role as starting QB. He hasn't showed me any reason for the Giants
to stop searching for another Tom Brady.

He also played for the worse runned franchise in NFL history that had
no line, no running game, and no defense. A QB only can do so much by
himself.

Joe Willie also had more interceptions in his career than touchdown,
yet he is considered one of the all time great QB's. He also had a good
running game, and defense.

Archie's exploits in college at Ole Miss carried him thru his pro
career more than any other NFL QB I can recall. But with that being
said, he was one of the game's true characters - a real over-achiever.

Don't forget that he was QB of the Saints back in the 80's when their own fans
called them the Aint's and wore paper grocery bags over their heads to all
home games. But somehow some of the old third string quarterbacks become heros
once they retire, I guess because they blame their own failure on being on bad
franchises.

Actually, Joe Willie *isn't* considered one of the all time great QB's - at
least not by anyone outside the greater NY metropolitan area.

Archie played in a day and age where you could suck and lose, lose, lose but
not have people constantly calling for you to be replaced, traded, etc...

Roger's being nice....
Archie was a good QB...not HOF material
sadly, though, I have a different view now, than I had years ago. With
how he handled the Eli draft, my opinion of him soured dramatically.
Just because your Dad was a QB, and your brother is awesome, doesn't
mean you have an NFL birthright. I wish the chargers would've called
his bluff and made him be a dentist. I loved Eli in college, but I
pray he gets 'Theismanned' in every game. Sadly, it's not happened
yet.

All the chargers could have done was to make him sit out a year. A year
later, he would have again be eligible for the draft. And the chargers
would have got no value for the first pick in the draft.

May you find yourself standing on a football field wearing a Redskin
jersey with a quarterback's number on it while holding a football and
watching Lawrence Taylor and Jim Burt approach at full speed.

archie playrf on the most coked out team ever. the fullback tony
gailbraith was busted for dealing coke, chunk muncie was the worst cokehead
in NFL history. archie was snorting too. that's why the int/td ratio.
