Best wishes to all for a safe, happy, healthy, prosperous 2024. Maybe
we'll even get lucky and win a championship!!!

And one thing we cannot forget it that this group will soon disappear entirely this new year.

It doesn't have to. Usenet has been around well before Google Groups
became part of the scene and will continue to be; albeit to a smaller
audience. I am hoping the others download the necessary software, a few
free choices that are good, if money is the issue. Filtering out all the
spam is a luxury we didn't have with Google.

Happy New Year, Giants people.

Yeah, the group will still exist. You'll just need a newsreader or a different website to post to it, like it was back in the day. Google Groups will go back to being an archive, like it was before Google acquired it from Deja News.

If I come across something that offers convenient (preferably free) newsgroup posting, I'll post about it here to the group.
