Don't forget that the end of the salary cap also increased the value of
draft picks as the new players will be under team control for six years,
not four.

I believe this will be the first year that we actually see Belichick use
all his top picks instead of trading out for future years. Having 4 of
the top 53 picks is a good place to be when you can lock up that talent
for six years.
