Bullshit. You have to go for it at that point. I felt the same way at the
time. The Chargers defense more than pulled THEIR weight (three INTs off
Brady). How much more can you expect? The coach showed no faith in his
offense. You better score a lot of points, if you wish to beat the Pats.

I agree. They also should have gone for it on 4th and 3 at the 6 down
5 points in the 3rd quarter. It's a damn shame, because the defense
played as well as can be expected against New England, and the offense
let them down in the red zone.

Norv went Schottenheimer today and it cost the Chargers a chance at
the Super Bowl. Kick field goals in the first half, score TDs in the
2nd half.

That was my first thought too. But we essentially did the same thing with
the Colts, held them 3 and out, and came back. I would hate to be the first
fan to attack a Charger coach for NOT going it on 4th and eleven against the
Patriots in a playoff game ;)
