drew has got to wondering what god he offended.
he's done in the big D
will he retire or try somewhere else.
will somewhere else even want him.
he's just immobile.
i somehow doubt we will see him on 'dancing with the stars' after he does
retire.

I think another team will be interested in making him a starter -- at least
as a placeholder for whatever rookie they draft. I can see a
K.Warner/K.Collins kind of situation for him: one last hurrah that may have
an early ending. But there are a number of teams in the league where he
could go in and start.

i don't think he can take another "replaced by the younger guy" scenarios.
he'll want a full season promise at least. if he doesn't get he'll walk
away.

I'd like to add something to the "Drew is immobile" concept: He's
more than immobile. Immobility is only one of three major flaws in
his game. He's immobile, he lacks radar, and he lacks the sense to
move forward, even by way of a little shuffle, in the pocket.

That's three things he lacks. That's three strikes.

I wish I had a nickel for every time Brady retreated five steps,
waited for the pressure to his rear and outside, and shuffled one
or two steps up in the pocket to buy necessary time. That does not
take mobility. That takes radar and a shuffle. Why Drew doesn't
have those things is a mystery. You cannot survive in the NFL
without them.

And let's not even discuss his slide when he does run, not that
Brady's is anything special. Don't even make me laugh and
insinuate that Cassell knows how to slide. These guys should all
drink beers with Steve Young once in a while.

Cry baby. I wish I could be paid millions for this.

Wouldn't they be waiting a long time for Steve Young to have a beer
with them, or anyone else for that matter?

Since he throws a great deep ball I suspect the Raiders may give him a
shot especially if they draft a Brady Quinn. If the Packers draft a QB
they may do the same as well. And last but not least the Eagles may
give him a chance because it's unlikely that McNabb will be ready for
the start of next season. Otherwise Drew can be plugged into several
siituations where he can be backup QB

One good hit on Romo and he's back in the game. Don't think it won't happen.

That would depend on whether Steve Young is a snob or a regular
guy, wouldn't it?

Drew has stated that Dallas is his last stop. When it really comes down to
it, though he might take the chance to start somewhere else.

My point was that since Steve Young is a Morman he wouldn't be going
out for a beer with anyone.

Yah, taking the high road is easier when it's theoretical.

Say what you want about Drew, he's a warrior. It's true that the
Japanese maple tree in front of my house is more moble than he is, and
also makes better decisions, but he's proven for over a decade that he
can take a brutal licking and keep on ticking.

But when really confronted with making a mil or two to sit on the bench
with a small chance of being Da Man again, or not making a mil or two
and sitting alone at home, it is quite possible that Drew will choose
to hang around for a while longer. He would be one of the best backup
QBs in the league, if he chose to do so.

I've always said he's the toughest QB in the NFL... nobody (and I mean
NOBODY) takes a bigger beating than Bledsoe and yet he has really only lost
extended time to injury once in his career...

I disagree... a million or two is nothing to Bledsoe, so that won't be a
factor in his returning or retiring... Now he may very well be interested
in extending his career with the hope of getting another chance, but you
aren't going to be able to bribe him with chump change...

I respect what he's done, even with his limitations. He is a warrier.
Proved that to me when he won the comeback game with Pats when he had a
bolt through his finger.

I don't think the money is really an issue when you get to his stage. If
he needs another mil after what he'd made, he has a lousy accountant. It's
about not giving up the dream, the spotlight and the lifestyle. He'll have
to make the decsion fairl soon.
