I was just thinking the same thing. What are they
waiting for? What is it ... 20 something days before
the draft?

I have about 12 mock drafts on my page for Miami's
3rd round pick:

Doug Kaufusi ... OT ... Utah
Melvin Paige ... OT ... South Carolina
Artis Hicks ... OT ... Memphis
Joaquin Gonzalez ...OT ... Miami (Fla)
Martin Bibla (2) ... G ... Miami (Fla)
Seth McKinnie ... C ... Texas A&M
Matt Schobel ... TE ... TCU
Terry Jones ... TE ... Alabama
Chris Baker ... TE ... Michigan State
Najeh Davenport ... FB/RB ... Miami (Fla)
Tank Williams ... S ... Stanford

At least it gives us a feel who may be available with
90/91 pick in the draft. I'm surprised no one mocked us with
a defensive end/tackle as we're in need of one of those as well.

I'm not familar enough with the 1st 3 to comment.

Any of the above would be a GOOD pick, IMO.

Gonzalez played RT for 4 years at UM... very solid and *extremely* smart.
He filled in at LT when injuries occurred... he'd make a good guard... or
even a RT. No immediate impact if Spriggs, Searcy & Wade are all healthy
though.

Bibla has very good technique... he repeatedly graded out best on a very
talented college O-line... has got a kinda nasty onfield attitude (a great
attribute for a lineman IMO)... good candiate for guard position. However,
the Phins already have 3 good candidates for guard. Bibla would be good to
groom for a year or two, but he's no help this year.

The knock on McKinnie is that he's only average in size and skills and that
he may have trouble against bigger guys... sounds alot like Ruddy. But I'm
so fed up with Tim that Seth's worth a shot OMO.

Don't know much about them.

He was a great RB until he got injured... team needs forced him to play FB
when he came back. Very fast for a big guy, but not much of a between the
tackles runner... fortunately he's got the speed to get outside. Phins are
gonna need a #3 rb... he could be it. But, I'd rather see him selected with
a 4th round or compensatory pick.

I doubt Williams would contribute much at safety this year.
