According to Proffotballtalk.com....

"As we recently reported, Jets G.M. Terry Bradway had ceded much of the
authority over personnel decisions to coach Herm Edwards.

According to a league source, however, Bradway is getting pressured by owner
Woody Johnson (a redundancy?) to get re-involved in the personnel process,
and some in the league think it's the first step toward the ultimate demise
of coach Herm Edwards.

The rumor is that Bradway allowed Edwards to usurp the juice as to personnel
issues because Bradway knew that, in time, Edwards would be exposed as
less-than-stellar when it comes to picking players.

In other words, Bradway gave Edwards sufficient rope to hang himself.

Beyond the Bradway-Edwards chess match, the word is that the internal
bickering in Jets camp is on the rise. And it's no surprise. The Jets sit
two full games behind two teams (Dolphins and Pats) who silly-smacked them
over the past two weekends."

Man...I never get tired of reading stuff like this. And to think of all
those Off-Season Championships the Jets won.....

Nor I.

But is it really news to anyone? I mean, bickering in the locker room
(one only has to peruse, "Just Give Me the Damn Ball") or management
in disarray (like when you're looking for your 3rd head coach in one
week?). It's the Jets, man!

While we're disappointed each year, it's disappointment from not
getting far enough in the playoffs. That's a lot different than being
disgusted with the whole concept of our team.

But he's correct in that one point: the Jets won't be getting their
asses kicked by Indy twice a year.

I believe Bob was referring to the probability the jets would get a better
draft pick.

Not a better draft pick...just a higher one.

No, they won't have to face Indy. But their December schedule is brutal. The
Jets travel to Oakland, Chicago, and New England, and must face Denver and
Green Bay at home. And all in December. It's enough to make any Jet fan say
"Bah-Humbug!"

And to think that Splats keeps ranting about Miami in December.....LOL

Had that made up special, huh? Nice to see you're keeping your sense of humor
Scott - the nasty edge certainly came off your posts in a big hurry.
