I know most people will blame Elvis for this loss and I agree that he was
just plain awful, but the thing that keeps eating at me is Gunthers
inability to get his team ready to play in a huge game. The Chiefs layed
down the whole game. The same miserable Chiefs team that gets called for
penalties every other play showed up in Seattle in an AFC West showdown.
Yesterday was proof that this team has no chance in hell at winning a
playoff game on the road. I still think the Jets will beat Seattle next week
and the Chiefs will beat Oakland, but yesterdays game proves that the ugly
side of this team can still show up at anytime. Good teams show up to play
in big games and the Chiefs showed up and played thier worst game all year.

It seems that Guinther doesn't subscribe to the "NEW" and more successfull
coaching techniques used by the modern successfull coaches of the '90's, i.e.
Holmgren, Vermele, and the Purcel. The only "smash-mouth" I see from the Chiefs,
is their willingness to "SMASH-MOUNTH" their coach right in the "JAW".

What it took Marty 20 years to learn, has taken Guinther only months to destroy.
The Chiefs are doomed under this coaches leadership. Lets just hope he matures
faster and better than Marty. I can't wait another 15 yeasr for a winning season
only to be disappointed by the lack of performance in the playoffs

Hey, I hear the Rice and Young may be looking for an employer. Seems K.C. likes
to get S.F.'s oldies but goodies!!

Frustrated,

Russ

The only constant on this team is their lack of a good coach. We've had J.
Montana, M. Allen, Gonzalez, D. Thomas, O'Niel, you name it. If you can't win
with this combo, throw in the towel!

Man, you guys are spoiled!!! This has been a great season for me and I love
the fact that we are in the playoffs if we win next week!! I root for the
people that play the game, not for the cities the teams are located in, and
Boomer and Moon have been my two idols this decade and lets just say I have
had a lot of tough years having to root for the Bengals, Jets, Cardinals,
and Seahawks!!! This season has been a dream come true for me even though
Moon hasn't got to play, I just am so happy he has a chance to get back into
the playoffs!! Cheer up and enjoy the ride baby!!! GO CHIEFS!!!!

I agree that Gunther has not had the best year ever, but he is just a rookie coach.  If he can turn around the Chiefs organization in one year, he can do even better in his second year.  Faith and patience will see me through next year, but after that I will start to dog him if he can't win.
I like Gunther's attitude, but he is just too darned conservative.  I like being conservative, but I am not against opening the offense up when needed. Well, no use bitching about it now.  We should just be happy we have a chance to get into the playoffs in his first year.
