KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police said one person died and several people
were injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon just after the Chiefs
parade and rally ended at Union Station.
Children’s Mercy Hospital confirmed it has received patients in connection
with the shooting. University Health Truman Medical Center officials said
it was treating four gunshot victims and eight others who were not shot.
The Kansas City Police Department stated that two armed people were taken
into custody for more investigation.

Two armed gunman taken into custody after disturbance following Chiefs
victory parade and rally near Union Station in downtown Kansas City. At
least three ppl were treated on scene, may have been taken to hospital
according to KCTV5 Neal Jones. @KCTV5
Officers are asking the people to leave the area and avoid the parking
garage so first responders can treat the shooting victims.
A KCTV5 photojournalist said that he saw four people receiving medical
care, and two others receiving CPR at the scene of the shooting.
Police asked that any witnesses to the shooting please go to the southwest
corner of Pershing and Main.
