Packers on airwaves: Fans have loads of choices

By Warren Gerds
wge...@greenbaypressgazette.com

Another season of Green Bay Packers on the air is upon us, and as usual,
viewers and listeners should pay a bit of attention because of changes.

Of note in Green Bay is the AM radio side. The full broadcast package of
Packers games has gone to WTAQ (1360) from WNFL. This is the full pregame,
game and postgame deluge.

In Door County, a Packers Radio Network station has been added at Sister
Bay.

All the local TV stations will carry at least one Packers game this season,
though the lion's share will continue on WLUK by way of Fox.

Still to be settled is which local TV station will get the rights to carry
the NFL Network game of Nov. 29 at Dallas.

TV notes: WBAY's "Monday Night Kickoff" becomes "Tuesday Night Touchback,"
and Mark Tauscher replaces William Henderson as the player co-host. WFRV's
"Inside Lambeau" moves to 6:30 p.m. Saturday from from 10:35 p.m. WGBA plans
a one-hour pregame show for its NBC Sunday night game on Oct. 7.

Radio notes: Mark Daniels is starting his 28th season of "The Fifth
Quarter," though the show is moving to WTAQ from WNFL. WIXX's "Breakfast
with the Boys" will get a new name because the show is moving to Thursday
evening from Friday morning. WDUZ has added a postgame show.
