Estranged wife of Cardinals kicker Jacke arrested
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The estranged wife of Arizona Cardinals kicker Chris
Jacke was jailed after police were called to a fight between the two in a
downtown Green Bay bar, authorities said Monday.
Tracey Jacke, 36, was accused by police of domestic violence/disorderly
conduct early Saturday after she allegedly struck her husband and tore his
shirt in an altercation at the Oasis Bar, Capt. Gary Van Den Heuvel said.
"She confronted him at a downtown bar. He claimed she slapped him in the
face and also that she ripped his shirt," Van Den Heuvel said.
Friends separated the Jackes and police were called about 2:51 a.m., Van Den
Heuvel said.
The couple was taken to a police station and questioned, he said. Chris
Jacke was released and Mrs. Jacke was jailed.
She was released at 6:40 a.m. Saturday after posting $150 bond, said Sgt.
Larry Malcomson of the Brown County Jail.
No formal charges had been filed Monday against Mrs. Jacke with the Brown
County clerk of courts.
Jacke, who used to play for the Packers, still lives in Green Bay, but
recently separated from his wife, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported in
Monday's editions. The Packers drafted him in 1989 in the sixth round, and
he remained with the team until 1996.
