I don't think there's any truth to it. The Boston Globe would be reporting it,
the local radio would be reporting it, you would hear nothing but these rumors
up here in New England if they were real. So I doubt it.

If this is true, then you make the trade. Very similar to the mistake
the Vikings made when they acquired Herschell Walker. Levens is a
very good back, but not worth two # 1's and two # 2's.

There is no logic in such a scenario. A team could simply negotiate
directly with Levens and sign him and give up less then that without
ever even bothering to contact the Packers. Why bother with a trade?
Sounds like someones wishful thinking to me. What is the price for a
franchise player, 2 firsts? Whatever it is it isn't as much as the
scenario above.
I like Levens but I think he's making a mistake here. I don't see the
Packers losing anything at all. Considering what I've seen thus far, I
believe it could end up being a Sterling Sharpe situation. Instead of
Levens getting 90% of the carries and yards, Harris and Jervey could
easily combine to be much more productive overall.

No, they can't negotiate with Levens. If teams could negotiate with
him, someone would be doing it by now. His rights still belong to the
Packers and, barring a trade, he has to sign with them or sit out a
year.

There was no logic, but there is now. There is a deadline, long since
passed, for signing another team's free agents. No one can sign Levens
now except the Packers, unless the Packers either trade or release him.
If anyone has the deadline itself, please post it.

He could negotiate "with permission" from Green Bay.
I'd imagine something like that would be kept quiet for awhile, though.

Not only that, but what team has two firsts and two seconds available
to trade?....unless you are looking at the '99 and '00 drafts.
mike
Agreed that the trades are unlikely.
Allow me to start another unlikely rumor: the rights to Levens to StL for the
rights to CB Ryan McNeil.
Any other whacky rumors we can start? Right for Levens for the rights for
Wadsworth?

Festerann and Gurley are holed up under a desk? I guess it's not a
rumor if it's widely known to be true.

But couldn't fit in as all the Bucs fans were "front-running" each other
under the desk.

Original Festerann, original. That must have taken you all day to dream
that up didnt it?
Did you pick up your prozac pills yet? I heard it wont stop that drooling
and slobbering problem you have.
Maybe a shot or two will clear that rash up for you son. Oh sorry, that's
your face. My bad.

This is so lame, I almost regard it as *its* way of saying, "please stop
beating on me in this public forum."
Not really, Jabbarwhackoff. It was in the Tampa Trib.
Mike
Besides, Mike and I aren't that close. Really... ;)

Yeah, but according to your tag line, you are the one spending time under
the desk!
Shrug, it's plainly obvious you and Festerann and the ones swapping tongues.
Regards,
Jarbarian
Really Festerann? You can read?!?!?!?! Well gee Festus, you're making
progress but you still need to rid yourself of the overgrown forehead
neanderthals like you have.

You "guys" have a tag line?
Must have something to do with "front running"...
Mike

Really.

Um... it's not a tag-line, it's a .sig file. A tag line is like the one
below. Get the jargon right!
And my .sig says nothing about being under a desk. I assume you mean
retrieving the objects. I don't retrieve them. Once they are there, if
they are small and round (like your brain) and are unreachable, then they
are in my domain. And I ask Fester get them for me. And he usually
tells me to go Jabber myself. Reading is so important
> Shrug, it's plainly obvious you and Festerann and the ones swapping tongues.
That get you all hot and bothered Jabber? You having trouble typing with
one hand?

What's the difference? They're both silly. Pardon me, Mr. Computer Geek.

You thought about this for a week and this is the best you can come up with?
Laugh, not even worth a crack back it's so lame. I mean, what do you say to
someone who's obviously such a dimwit he can't even come up with an original
flame?!?!!? How about: Ttry again Stooge Boy, but next time mix in
something witty.

Even more original. Boy, you must have studied thousands of joke books for
that one.
Now, let's see; we have a Packer Moe and a Packer Curley, now we just need a
Packer Larry to complete to "Stooge trio". After all, the moronic tirades
of the stooges match in harmony to your laughable comments. "Stooge like"
in themselves. Childish, irrational and totally laughable.

"And I ask Fester get them for me." Writing is important, too. You've
made progress since the operation. I didn't realize a sex change could
help you so much.

So, do you know where Festerann is, now that the two of you have
finished rolling around under the desk?
Yes, writing is important. Also, please remember, Mr. Grammer Police, not to
double space between words such as 'you' and 'so'.
GO PACK!!!!
Quotation marks would have been appropriate here. For whatever reason,
you seem to think there are several contractions in the end of your
sentence. Maybe your brain contracted.

Gee, maybe I should be like some of the trolls around here and make up an
excuse. No, I just can't do it. You are correct. I used the wrong punctuation.
As for my brain contracting, at least I have one schmuck.
GO PACK!!!!
I suspect you have more than one schmuck. Did you mean, ". . .at least
I have one, schmuck"? Can you get off one post that isn't bungled?
Again I ask you, why are you correcting anyone?

This from a guy who was using "grammer" to correct someone's
grammar. Could you be a bigger idiot?

Not much chance of that, Herr Seigheiloff. Why not stick to your
regurgitation of Rush's force-fed misinformation, so at least you'll be
able to use his words, instead of your own poorly chosen ones?
> GO PACK!!!!
If you'd followed the thread at all, you'd know that he does not, in fact, know his grammar. His punctuation (which is a part of grammar) was flawed. Do a little research and you won't have to make incorrect claims.
