Apparantly no one else has heard this rumor, but my sources have provided
me with details. After the game against the Eagles, Elway's wife tried
to console him, but he was unresponsive, she became a bit hostile then
John took a lampshade and threw it at her. This really had no effect, so
allegedly he picked up the whole lamp and threw it at her causing a mild
cut on her head.
He proceeded to take his anger out on the furniture as he flipped over
the refrigerator and microwave.

I will post more details as they become available

If this turns out not to be true, you are a complete loser. Even if it
is partially true, is this the right place for it? How come you know
this and no one else seems to? Crawl back into your hole rumor-monger.

Your sources are worthless, bubba.

After the game, Elway was out of it. Janet put him to bed and it
was the next morning before he was sure where he was.

Spare yourself the effort. Its not worth our time.

Not nearly as suspicious as your claim that your "sources" told
you that Elway had beaten his wife and injured his hand, when even
your "sources" could have read in the paper that it was Elway's
shoulder that had been injured and not his hand.

Idiot.

Actually the injury was discovered when Elway was putting on his jacket
while getting ready to leave Veterens Stadium. I don't find this at
all suspicious, since he had a concusion, thus the pain centers in his
brain where probably much more concerned with that than with a pain
in an arm he wasn't even using.

Actually, it's a measure of how out of it Elway was. He said in an
interview on Tuesday that he didn't even know himself until he tried to
put his suit coat on after the game on Sunday.

I have heard the same rumor about John Elway on the local sports
radio. Apparently you are not the only one to hear this. If it's true
he beat on his wife he should be dealt with accordingly. This is the
right place to post also. This is a serious matter that should be
brought up front.

Who is this idiot Steve? He must be one of those Raider fans that have
trouble reading. I heard about Elway's shoulder the very next day and
did an MRI. This is a total lie and I hope somehow Elway hears about
this slander and sues this idiot. I know I would even though he isn't
worth it I'm sure. He is just a liar who likes to spread untrue rumors.

Why don't you idiots go get a life. Nobody needs to tell me about the
seriousness of domestic violence. My wife works for a Rape Crisis Center,
so I am quite aware of the issue and its pervasiveness. But SHIT like this
only makes matters worse by lowering the plausibility of REAL victims. If
this was even *close* to being true, it would be all over the Denver media.
So far, you two goofballs are the only sources I have noted. People who start
and spread rumors with no substantiation should have their internet privileges
revoked.

I know it sounds crazy, but it seems that if Elway is abusing his wife
maybe it's his wife that should post this on a board. I'm not sure how
posting an unconfirmed rumor on a board helps to stem the problem of
spousal abuse.

Next time, post your own domestic problems and we can all discuss them.
