Without looking - what seven teams have started off 13-0?

It's funny that people talk about how we will forget the Patriots, but
remember the Dolphins because the Dolphins were undefeated - but if
I'm not mistaken there was another undefeated team that belongs on
this list.

To make the question clear Howard, are you counting 2009 teams in that
total?

Aside from 2009 teams, I can only name one (the one that should be
obvious to most folks in this NG.)

I would think, based on when he posted that it should include them...
Still that only gives me six teams, off the top of my head...

Is it pre or post Super Bowl era? Do we count playoff wins? Do we
carry over from one year to the next (like ESPN did with the Colts,
giving them a 22-0 record)? Lots of questions

Where I read it didn't specify (other than it was counting this year).
But I think now that I am mistaken, the Bears team that went 13-0 lost
the NFL championship game to the Giants.

This year, the Colts and Saints. Previously, the Broncos, the Patriots, the
Bears, the Dolphins, and the Cowboys?

Okay, now I realize why I wasn't figuring it out... I think...

Bears (Pre-Super Bowl)
Dolphins
Broncos
Colts
Patriots
Colts
Saints

I was counting the Colts only once, even though they've done it
twice. If you count them twice, then you get the 7 teams (and I guess
you'd have to, since there aren't the exact same players on this team
as that one). I actually had to write it down and look at it that way
(yes, I really *am* that stupid).

Ok, now I went and looked, and I was wrong. Also, there are only 6. And, one
of the 6 did it two different years, so really there are only 5 different
team names. This information being for records since the NFL went to a 14
game season. If there are teams that went 13 and 0 including playoffs prior
to that then I didn't look that up.

Howard hasn't answered my post, but if he's counting pre-super bowl
era, then the Bears get the 13-0 there, even if they did lose the last
game (championship).

Dolphins
Broncos
Colts
Patriots
Colts
Saints

and pre SB Bears is 7 teams

You posted the answer. It looked good to me. I missed your
question though.

It was upt there, actually in response to something Adam had written.
I didn't know if you were counting Pre-super bowl teams (seems you
were), and if you were counting teams *each* time a team did it (and
you were). I kept getting stuck on 6 because I only counted the Colts
once (even though they did it twice).

I read the question in the paper first, but it didn't have the answer.
We obviously had one which might be hard for other fans (probably the
2nd hardest).
