I know, scoring less than the opponent
is the common cause of all losses, but
the following details what led to that
outcome in the 5 Cowboys losses in
2021:

1) If you look at the Cowboys 6 lowest
rushing yardage games, guess what?
They lost 5 of them.

2) If you look at the Cowboys 4 games
where the defense got 0 takeaways,
guess what? They lost 3 of them.

The Chiefs game, the defense got 2 take-
aways -but- the team had 3 giveaways, so
net turnover = -1.

The Bucs game, they won the turnover bat-
tle but they gave up the most passing yards
of the entire season, 379, & thanks to the
ref blowing an offensive pass interference
call (a non-call on a Bucs receiver knocking
down Jourdan Lewis on a clear offensive ...

... pass interference non-call near the end
of the game), they lost, their closest loss of
the season, by 2 points.

The 2nd most passing yards they allowed,
366 to the Raiders, their 2nd-closest loss
of the season, in overtime, by 3 points, to
a team that had an amazing 4 overtime
wins & no overtime losses in 2021.

Another close loss, by 3 points to the Cards,
once again, the refs blew a call with over
2 minutes left, ruling a fumble a non-fum-
ble; had they made the right call, the Cow-
boys recovery gave them a chance to drive
down & win the game.

The only 3 games in which they allowed
30 points or more (Bucs 31, Broncos 30,
Raiders 36), they lost all 3 of those games.

3) 4 of the 5 losses were to teams that
made the playoffs in 2021, the only non-
playoff loss was to the Broncos, a team
that fit both categories mentioned above,
Cowboys having no takeaways & one of
their 6 lowest rushing yardage games.

On the other hand, they had 3 wins versus
playoff teams, 2 wins over the Eagles & a
close overtime win over the Patriots by 3
points.
