Per a recent report, "... About two-thirds
of the NFL network's 40 million house-
holds come from satellite TV subscribers

Technically, it's a money issue, with cable
companies wanting to charge extra for
NFL Network as part of a premium pack-
age, and the NFL insisting the network
be available on cable's basic for-everyone
pricing tier.
NFL Network is among the -5- most expen-

provide the channel to all 13.5 million of its
subscribers in 33 states, placing it in the top
five most expensive cable networks. ..."

Then the NFL should give it away FREE. Fuckers. They are on the edge of
starting to screw their golden goose.

Well, I live in Dallas, and if that game is unwatchable here, then I will
quit this team AGAIN... for a few months until I can't take it anymore, or
the Super Bowl, whichever comes first...

The cable companies are at fault.
Why should NFL Network be part of a special package?
It's way better and more popular than a lot of stupid channels that
everybody gets but nobody watches.
and it's not like they don't know they're gonna have to give in
eventually. People are gonna be pissed. So why fight it?
The NFL rules the world.

I live in NYC, really watch only one game a week (Cowboys) and am very
happy that I have the NFL Sunday ticket
I keeps my bar bill down quite a bit

It's the fault of both of them.
I've already got the Time Warner sports package. It costs me $2.50 a
month. Having to go to channel 445 wouldn't kill me.
On the other hand, the Time Warner CEO said something like "Why should
all of our subscribers pay for a channel that only some of them want?"
Excuse me Mr. Time Warner CEO, but why the hell am I paying for the
@%#$*% Golf Channel on standard cable?
I've got problems with both of them.

I had Dish for years, ditched them when they couldn't get me HD equipment in
a timely manner and insisted on charging me $3 if I didn't hook my equipment
to a phone line. WTF! Went to Comcast, gave me a great deal. But, they got
bought by TW, and I am not impressed so far, so when my smokin deal runs
out, I will likely try DTV, though they bitstarve the shit out of their HD
content, and I watch 90% HD.

I don't think any Time-Warner cities get NFL network. As for Comcast,
you not only need digital, but have to pay $5/month extra for a
package that includes NFL Network.
