1982 season on January 3 1983, tied
by Titans Derrick Henry in 2018.

On January 3, 1983, during a Monday
Night Football game in Minnesota, Dor-
sett broke a 99-yard touchdown run
against the Vikings, which is the long-
est run from scrimmage in NFL history
(Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans
would tie this record in 2018).

Dorsett broke the previous record of 97
yards ... . The Cowboys only had 10 men
on the field at the time, as fullback Ron
Springs was unaware of the play being
called.

Henry ended up splitting carries ... for most
of the 2018 season. ... This all changed in
Week 14 on December 6 2018 against the
Jaguars. In the second quarter, Henry had
a 99-yard touchdown run, fending off three
