Thanks in no small part to a report on Troy's skin
cancer, I had a mole check out and removed (off
my back) a few months ago.

Troy's brush with skin cancer and the publicity
surrounding it have lead many to seek treatment
for minor skin anomalies that could have gone
untreated for far too long.

Troy's efforts in fighting skin cancer are commendable.

Another often-overlooked problem can and should
be addressed by Troy (IMO). For details, see

http://www.quittobacco.com/governme.htm

Thanks for listening. Sermon over ;)

Dan...if you are making a reference to the "chewing" he was doing while on
camera Monday night as being a tobacco product, I would sooner think it might
have been sunflower seeds....something a lot of the sports personalities have
taken to.

Thank goodness.

I hope kids don't see Troy and think he's chewing tobacco as
they could be easily influenced in that direction were they to
think that was what Troy was doing.

I know Troy has mentioned using a chew now and then but it looked on that
particular night like he was spitting something white on the ground. Two
things make me think they were sunflower seeds: first, the color and second,
Jerry wouldn't allow tobacco juice on "his" field, even from Troy. I won't
beat the horse anymore but just a thought. go boys!

Look back to the game against the Giants, with the glass serving as a
spitter. And no relationship between skin cancer and dip has been shown.

Now I'm really confused. Everyone up 'til now in this thread
says that Troy ain't dippin', he's chewing sunflower seeds and
this post says he's a dipper.

Which is it?

Here it is folks, a list of famous people who use smokeless tobacco. This list is still in the process of being developed, so if
you have any (we mean any) ideas of famous people who dip, or you do in fact know of someone, please let us know by sending
email to ch...@tradeweb.net.

Troy Aikman can be found with a fatty in his lip before and after (and sometimes during) ever game. Sometimes
they'll have post game interviews in the lockerroom, and this is when you'll most likely catch him with a fatty in.

Lenny Dykstra has been known for having a huge wad in his cheek at all times - up to bat, in the field, in the
dugout - always. There is no need for explination here because if you know anything about baseball or Philadelphia, you know how
much Lenny chews.

Robert Earl Keen is a country music singer, the one who wrote the original song entitled "Copenhagen." Yes, Jeff
Foxworthy re-did this song, but it was not nearly as good as Keen's original version. If you havent heard Keen's music before,
it is highly recommended. You can find some Real Audio files of his songs here.

Sam Elliott has been seen with a pinch in his lip quite a few times. If anyone has more info on this it would be
appreciated. Thanks to Brian from The Skoal Page Of The Ages for this info.

Randy Johnson, left handed pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, also is known for having a big ole' pinch in all of the
time.

Herschel Walker, Dallas Cowboys backup running back, used to do TV commercials for Skoal. It is known that he also
is an avid smokeless tobacco user.

Kent Hrbek was the 1st baseman for the Minnisota Twins. Yes, he too is an avid dipper. He's gone now.

Okay, so maybe he's not a usual smokeless tobacco user, but Clint Eastwood had some great scenes in his movies that
involved chew. Remember when he spit on the dog!?
NEW ADDITIONS!

Thanks to Tim Vann for this info as well as the pictures! I don't really care for the Braves, but hell after he told
me this, I noticed that Jones does pack lippers all the time!

Tim also sent this one to us! I'm beginning to think that he just might be a Braves fan! Anyway, thanks a lot Tim!

Other dippers sent in info on Maddux, and thanks to them all, including the big man Charlie.

UPDATE!!
So many people have written in to tell us about the many different famous dippers and chewers that are out there.
To be honest, there has been such an enormous response to this section that it is impossible for us to keep up with the
updating. So with that in mind, we're not going to continue to update in the fashion that this page was started in. We will
keep updating, just not with pictures (unless someone finds a cool one of the famous dipper with a chew in or something).
Instead, for now at least, we're going to just list them.

The new list is as follows (in addition to those listed above):

Trent Dilfer
Jim Harbaugh
Rod Beck
Mandy Barnett - Country Singer
Earl Campbell - Football Player
Randy Johnson - Baseball Player
Charlie Daniels - Country/Rock Singer
Chris LeDoux - Country Singer
Luke Perry - 90210 Dude (can anyone confirm this rumor?)
Chris' High School Football Coach Steve Miller
Brian Truex - Big Pimp in Iowa
Brett Favre - Football Player
