While recognizing Cowboys overall playoff
success,
https://groups.google.com/g/alt.sports.football.pro.dallas-cowboys/c/oRjTfSNfzHQ/m/rGa-8ZHEDwAJ ...

... I must admit that the Cowboys 7 Divi-
sional playoff game losses in a row &
their lack of Conference Championship
games since 1995, something Skip Bay-
less said in the following youtube video
stood out so much that I had to check ...

... on that when he said (starting 7:23
into the following video) "In those last
27 years we are now 5 and 12 in the
postseason, that is the worst playoff
winning% of any team in the whole NFL".

Undisputed (Cowboys loss at 49ers yesterday)

Close but not quite true, per the following:
https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-nfl-winning-percentage-playoffs-since-1996

Cowboys are the 3rd-worst playoff team
in playoff winning% since 1996:

30. Dallas Cowboys ..... 17 playoffs 5-12 .294
31. Miami Dolphins ...... 11 playoffs 3-8 .273
32. Washington Coms .. 8 playoffs 2-6 .250

I also must note that 13 teams have fewer
playoff games played since 1996 than the
Cowboys 17, the Browns the fewest with
just 3:

6:40 to 6:58 into the above referenced video

was 18 more than any other team over those ...

Follow-up:

The buck always stops on the owner's & GM's
& head coach's & starting QB's desks when it
comes to getting the Cowboys back to playing
in Conference Championships & Super Bowls.

Jerry has 27 years of failure as owner & GM.
Sell the team.

Mike McCarthy has 1 Super Bowl appearance
& win in his 16 years as head coach. The new
owner & new GM should fire him.

Starting QBs for Dallas during their 27 years
of failure, a notable miss by the owner/GM
on Quincy Carter, free agent QB Tony Romo,
& 4th round pick Dak Prescott, all of them
a combined playoff record of 4-9 failing to
get the Cowboys a Divisional playoff win, ...

... Dak should be traded & a new GM & owner
should pursue a QB with genuine potential to
win when it matters most & not simply win
mostly due to inferior opponents & looking
impressive from time to time & losing all-too-
often when it matters most.

Dak should be traded.

Jerry should trade you to Ukraine's War Zone.

Idiot.

I'm glad you agree with me. What's your
opinion on Jerry Jones as owner/GM &
Mike McCarthy as head coach?

UNDISPUTED - ''Trade Dak Prescott
& FIRE McCarthy NOW''- Skip & Shannon's
advice to Cowboys
https://youtu.be/K7kMcWrid1o

In that video, at one point it's mentioned
trading Dak for Lamar Jackson. Some-
where else it's mentioned trading Dak
for Aaron Rodgers.

In that video, Skip Bayless says Dak has
not had 2 straight games with no turn-
overs in his last 49 games.

Skip & Shannon surmise that Dak is so
happy with his salary + all the money he
makes from his ads that he simply does
not have the burning desire that's required
to win a Super Bowl. Jerry Jones, despite
his saying he wants that, Skip surmises ...

... that he's living off his 1990s Super
Bowl wins & with all his wealth & fame
& fortune & Hall of Fame standing Jerry
simply doesn't have the burning desire
to do what it takes to win another Super
Bowl. Skip says Jerry should have ...

... been angry after that Dak demise vs
the 49ers, but instead he & Dak were
talking about getting it done next year,
winning a Super Bowl(?) -or- losing their
8th straight Divisional playoff game, you
be the judge.

Even though McCarthy wasn't mentioned
in the actual video though he was men-
tioned in that video title, one wonders if
McCarthy is also short of the burning
desire it takes to win his 2nd Super Bowl
in what would be his 17th season as a
head coach.

Not a capologist am I but the cap hit for
trading Dak looks huge to me, making
Dak untradeable for the next 2 years, but
I've never been good at understanding the
salary cap ins & outs:

Skip's statement is incorrect, a statement
he made 9:16 into the video linked to above.
After a thorough review of Dak's turnovers
in 2019 to 2022, he only played in 36 straight
games with not having 2 straight games with
no turnovers.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PresDa01/gamelog/2019/
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PresDa01/gamelog/2020/
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PresDa01/gamelog/2021/
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PresDa01/gamelog/2022/

Last time Dak had at least 2 straight games
with no turnovers was the 13th to 15th games
of the 2019 season. Since then, at least 1 turn-
over in

o 2019 season 16th game
.. (total of 1 game)

o 2020 season 2nd to 5th games (injured/
.. out for the rest of the year)
.. (total of 5 games, no turnovers in game 1)

o 2021 season 1st to 3rd & 5th to 6th
.. (inactive in week 7) & 8th & 10th &
.. 12th to 14th & 16th games
.. (total of 16 games, no turnovers in games
.. 4, 9, 11, 15, 17)

o 2022 season 1st game (inactive weeks 2 to 6)
... & 8th to 9th & 11th to 17th & 2nd playoff games
... (total of 14 games, no turnovers in games
... 7, 10, & 1st playoff game)

So, that's 36 straight games in which Dak
has not had 2 straight games with no turn-
overs, correcting Skip's statement that Dak
has not had 2 straight games with no turn-
overs in 49 straight games.
