Here are the reasons why:
1. Despite a host of talent, Adazzio and an experienced offiensive
line the Gators offense is ranked 96th.
2. My daugher is a more creative play caller. He has no creativity
at all, and is so predictable as to be boring. The only big plays on
offense come from a mental breakdown by the opposing defense. He
cannot call plays that keep a defense off balance.
3. He has no clue how to score in the Red Zone. See number 2 above.
4. He is either too dumb or too arrogant to understand that you do
not fit the players to the offense, you fit the offense to the
players. Brantely never was and never will be an option or spread
quaterback. He cannot execute this offense, and his natrual talents
remain unused.
5. His clock management skills and play calling skills are terrible.
Since he has no clue of how to attack a defense, his play calling has
no coherent plan. As such, each play is called "from the hip", and
his indecisiveness shows with Delay of Game penalties. When you don't
know what you are doing as a coach, your player lose confidence not
only in your coaching ability, but themseleves as well.
6. No "blue chip" offensive players are going to want to go to
Florida in the future and the longer he stays, the worse the offense
is going to get.
There are more reasons, but these are the most glaring. As I stated
in my earlier post, Gators will be 8 - 4 or 9 - 3 at best. Adazzio is
able to blame his woes on injuries (BTW, can we get a REAL strength
coach to put an end to this shit? That and spreading the ball around
rather than running one player into the ground? ), but that isn't the
real reason the Gators suck on Offense. Steve knows it. If Meyer is
honest with himself, he'll replace Steve. If Steve has any integrity
and honor, he'll leave voluntarily, or at least step down as Offensive
Coordinator. Only time will tell.
