Can I just say Va. Tech scares me. If we by the grace of God and Gene
Chiznik win out and they do as well, would they jump us. They are
currently the media darling. Now that could change after OUsucks if we
win and win nicely. I just don't see UF or L$U winning out in the tough
$EC. Va. Tech though, has the easy road with only WVU, Thug U, and UVA
as the tough games left. And the Thug U game is a home game. They get 3
ranked opponents to beat whereas we only have Zorro, maybe Aggie if they
can get over the horrible secondary problems, and maybe I$U if they win
out as ranked opponents. I just fear voters having short memories about
our awesome win at tO$U. Especially since yesterday I heard multiple
analysts saying now that Troy $mith is the starter and there is no
controversy, tO$U is good and ready to start playing well. However, I
also still fear a Greg Davis meltdown against OUsucks, Rape U, or Aggie.
Thoughts?

Just realize that it is still VERY early in the season. Things could
change. We could lose. They could lose.

I agree, VaTech could jump us. But I also think they have a pretty
tough schedule. At the same time, even though they have both looked
unimpressive, TAMU and OUsucks are not automatic wins yet. We still
have to play the games and take care of business.

I figure, let's take care of our business and let's see where the
chips fall.

Beating "OUsucks" would be good. Always is at Texas. But it would not
provide the usual quality win because OU really does suck this year.
The Big XII's lack of overall strength in the rankings (thanks OU and
also Colorado, which just lost badly to Slime-ami) is a problem not only
for the 'Horns' ranking but also for the Big XII's chances for an
at-large BCS bid.

You need tOSU to win out; they're the one quality opponent you really
have. And maybe, just maybe, Arizona State or Notre Dame might beat the
Evil Empire of LA.

That's some funny stuff. Thanks. And I'm proud to be a moderately
attractive monkey.

Ob football - how about that LSU game? I found myself torn completely
between cheering for LSU out of, well, out of liking LSU, and cheering
for Tennessee because I thought their win would be better for us in BCS
terms. Turned out I loved the whole thing.

Well, since I went to Vanderbilt as an undergrad, I have a deep, visceral
loathing of all things UTK. But I also hate LSU, because their fans suck.

So to be honest, it was an enjoyable game, but I didn't have anything riding
on the outcome. I thought LSU would win, but I apparently overestimated their
conditioning coaches.

I would have liked to have seen the 44-14 beat-down Fresno put on Toledo last
night, though. Color me impressed.

Having va tech end up jumping texa$ and play for the mnc against usc
would be fair justice for last year's debacle.
