Some Post Google Usenet Possibilities For ASCP

I saw a long thread on rec.sport.football.college about potential ways to access Usenet once Google shuts down a few days from now. It had some useful ideas, so I figured I'd best try and get it mentioned over here before the countdown reaches zero. Sort of leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for next season. I don't fully understand all of it, but I understood enough to find something I may be able to use.
The thread is titled "Do I get a newsreader or do I just give up on rsfc?" and the link to it is

https://alt.sports.college.pac-10.narkive.com/ looks like it will work though you have to register to post and I haven't tried that yet.
