This will be a goodie. I'd like either one at home so I'm going with
Stanford, 31-28

WASHINGTON STATE at CALIFORNIA
I guess we all get this right or, if there's a monumental upset, we
all get it wrong. Cal 49-14

OREGON at WASHINGTON
Masoli should be back. Will he get hurt early? If so Ducks could be in
trouble. Assuming Masoli plays the whole way and is his usual self,
Ducks 35-31. Much too close for comfort.

OREGON STATE at USC
Trojans are simply not as good as advertised but Beavers have been
inconsistent. I think the most likely scenario is that the Beavers
don't play a good all around game until it matters to me (Civil War).
So here I'm thinking USC 27-21.

The Bruins O continues to be sporadic but with Prince back they are scoring
more. The Wildcats consistently play tough D and the improved O output
gives them a slight edge.

ASU - 31, Stanford - 27

Should be close and may go either way. The Sun Devil D will make some key
stops to seal the final score. With Gerhart iffy the Trees O doesn't have
it's normal overpowering running game.

Cal - 38, WSU - 10

The Cougars are still a ways away from being a credible threat to a top tier
team. The Bears O clicks better at home so Cal will roll to an easy win.

The Ducks performance will depend on how well their QB can play. If Masoli
struggles again with his passing the Huskies will win. UO has a very good
defense and they should keep the UW offense under control.

At home and on a fast track the Trojans will jump out to an early lead. The
difference will be the USC O line dominating the Beavers front. Pressing
Canfield into making mistakes will give the Trojans scoring opportunities
from the defensive surge. Fight On!
