If I was a UW fan, I'da rather lost last week and won this one,
rather than the miracle last week, and then that. wow. just wow.
Our winner got the double-shot on Saturday. His team won a tight
game, and he won the week. He's been here before, so no sense prolonging
things any more, hand the keys to:
Jack. Jack went 3-1, and totalled 146 points for a score of 20.86 .
His high score was 34 for SC-ND, and he also got 32 for ASU-UW. (he also
took his 'Cats, for those wondering). This win puts Jack in 15th place on
the season. Congrats Jack, you know what to do - and after last time, what
not to do. (seriously, 5 people *max* in the hot tub; I know, I know, you
hate odd numbers; but go 4, not 6 this time).

This was the result of personal brilliance. I have a philosophy now
for picking.

I pick home teams in conference (Coogs excepted) and I stay within
seven points. In other words, except for the Coogs, there is so little
difference in the Pac-10 that the home field will carry the day. Oh
yeah, I never like Notre Dame.'

A 10th place finish vaults me to the top. I'm the King of Mediocrity (tm).

Clearly, this shows that I'm either the only person on the Earth who
actually understands the BCS formulations, or as someone who can't win a
week of picks to save his life, I'm due for a serious comeuppance.

I'd vote for the latter :)

John

PS. No visiting team's lead is ever safe in South Bend. Even after the
clock runs out.
