Scott Addell

Offensive Lineman
A.C. Reynolds, Asheville, NC
Named honorary defensive captain on the Bally High School
All-America team. An honorable mention All-America by USA Today,
and a finalist on the Parade All-America squad. Named first team
all-state by the Associated Press, receiving more votes than any other
lineman. Played offensive and defensive tackle for Coach Scott Conners,
and had his jersey retired. an all-state first baseman. Conference player
of the year after batting .430 with 35 RBIs. Also a pitcher for his prep
baseball team. President of the freshman and sophomore classes. Plans
to major in business. Born on February 25, 1969

David Bollinger
6-4, 260
Offensive Lineman
Tryon High, Tryon, NC
A four year starter at defensive end and tight end. Named to the
honorable mention all-Western North Carolina list by the Asheville
Citizen. Recorded over 120 tackles. Blocked 2 punts, and recovered 6
fumbles. Had 25 receptions for over 500 yards and 2 TDs. Selected most
valuable lineman for Coach Elmo Neal's team. Averaged 16 points and
10 rebounds for the basketball team. Earned membership to the
Asheville Citizen all-academic team with a 3.8 gpa. Plans to major in
political science and hopes to attend law school.

Jesse Campbell
6-3, 200
Running Back
West Craven High, Vanceboro, NC
An all-state selection by both the Associated Press and the
Greensboro News and Recrod. Chosen for USA Today's honorable
mention All-America unit. Rushed for over 1400 yards and 24 TDs for
Coach Clay Jordan, whose team finished 10-2. Twice named conference
Player of tghe Year. Had over 100 tackles and 2 interceptions from his
linebacker position. Starter for the basketball team. Best game was a
23-point effort which included 6 dunks. Has cleared 6-8 in the high jump
and has recorded a 23-1 leap in the long jump. Member of the student
government.

Chris Corders
6-2, 195
Wide Receiver
E.E. Smith, Fayettville, NC
Received honorable mention all-state notice by the Greensboro News
and Record. Selected for the Shrine Bowl. Snared 28 passes for over 600
yards and 6 TDs for Coach Dean Staffos. An all-conference football and
basketball player. Averaged 12 points 8 rebounds and 6 assists from his
guard position. Also a four year letterman as a baseball catcher. Was
selected the MVP of the 1986 Holiday Basketball Classis in Fayettville.
Led his team to the championship with 46 points and 26 rebounds in 3
games. Plans to major in communications. Born on October 25, 1968.

Charles Davenport
6-3, 195
Wide Receiver
Pine Forest High, Fayettville, NC
A versatile athlete who was the Mid-South 4-A conference Player of
the Year in both football and basketball. Listed in Raleigh Times Top 25
collegiate prospects. Ranked as the No.5 recruit in North Carolina by
Durham Morning Herald. First team all-state by the Greensboro News
and Recrod and Associated Press. An all-conference punter as a
sophomore and junior, and as a quarterback his senior season. Led his
conference in passing as a senior with 1089 yards and 11 TDs.
Completed 57 of 104 passes and threw just 3 interceptions. Also rushed
for 876 yards giving him over 2000 yards of total offense for Coach Gary
Weller. Averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds for the conference champion
basketball team. Born on November 22, 1968.

Brian Dennler
6-3, 230
Lineman
Dixie Heights High, Crestview Hills, KY
Honorable mention Associated Press all-state in Kentucky. Listed on
the Kentucky Post's first team all-star squad as a defensive lineman.
Named first team all-Northern Kentucky defensive end by the Cincinatti
Enquirer. Played defensive tackl, defensive end, and also played
offensive tackle. Recorded over 70 tackles and had 18 sacks. Also
played basketball for 4 years. Averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds his
senior season. An Honor Roll student with a 3.0 gpa. Ran the
400-meters for the track team. Timed at 4.7 in the 40-yards.

Corey Edmond
6-3, 210
Linebacker
Sussex Central High, Waverly, VA
A member of the Top 25 recruits in Virginia as chosen by the Roanoke
Times and World News. Selected the state's 2-A Player of the Year.
USA Today honorable mention All-American. All-state as a linebacker
an offensive tackle for Coach Dwight Reagan, whose team finished 11-1
and advanced to the regional finals. Also the team's place kicker,
connecting on 14 of 17 PATs. Had one interception, 10 fumble
recoveries, 4 caused fumbles, and 3 sacks. Had a 3.75 gpa ranking third
in a class od 185. Plans to major in industrial engineering. Born on
February 16, 1969

James Foshee
6-1, 190
Defensive Back
Robert E. Lee High, Montgomery, AL
Selected All-Metro for the Montgomery area by the Alabama Journal.
Helped Coach Spence McCracken's team to a 15-0 record and the state
6-A championship. Team was ranked No. 2 nationally by USA Today.
Led his team with 7 INTs. Recorded 66 solo tackles, blocked 2 punts,
and recovered a pair of fumbles. A student counsel member, he carried a
3.1 gpa. Received the Coaches Award for sportsmanship and leadership.
Will study math or science. Born on April 30, 1969.

Mark Fowble

Placekicker
Richlands Northeast High, Columbia, SC
Holds the South Carolina State record for longest field goal, a 57-yarder
during his senior year. has a very strong leg, with over 90 percent of his
kickoffs not returned. His father Deane served as his high school coach.
Made 5 of 11 field goal attempts during his senior year. As a junior he
hit 5 of 10 field goals with the longest being a 47-yarder, and 18 of 19
PATs. Has played soccer since first grade. Scored 15 goals and had 7
assists as a senior. May enroll in the engineering program. Born on June
29, 1969.

Ray Frost
6-3, 225
Linebacker
James F. Byrnes High, Duncan, SC
Named honorable mention All-America by USA Today. Was the 4-A
Lineman of the Year for the state according to the Greenville Touchdown
Club. As a senior he was in on 105 tackles. Also casued 3 fumbles,
recovered 3 fumbles, and intercepted a pass. Led team to 10-3 record
and the state championship. As a tight end he caught 14 passes for 136
yards and 3 TDs during his final season. Will probably major in
education or history with a minor in physical education.

Todd Harrison
6-5, 230
Tight End
Buchholz High, Gainesville, FL
A first team all-state outside linebacker. Team finished 10-2 winning
both the district and regional titles. Played linebacker and tight end.
Recorded 60 tackles and 3 sacks for Coach Al Werneke. Recruited to
play tight end at State. Also a pitcher and outfielder on the baseball
team. Hit .454 with 5 HRs and 29 RBIs. Recorded a 4-3 record on the
mound with a 3.40 ERA. An excellent student with a 3.5 gpa who plans
to major in engineering. Born on March 20, 1969.

Clyde Hawley
6-4, 275
Offensive Lineman
Person High, Rougemout, NC
Named Lineman of the Year by the Durham Morning Herals. All-state
by the Associated Press and Greensboro Daily News. A member of the
News and Observer's Top 15 North Carolina prospects. A starter for 3
years, depite never having played organized football before high school.
Could be used on the offensive and defensive lines at State. Led Coach
John Harris' team to the state playoffs with a 8-3 record last fall. Bench
presses 380 pounds. Also wrestled and competed in the discuss and
shot put for the track team. Plans to major in mechanical engineering.
Born on September 6, 1968.

Dan Hayden
6-1, 220
Linebacker/Fullback
Broad Run High, Sterling, VA
Selected first team all-state linebacker by the Virginia High School
Coaches Association. A member of the Roanoke Time & World News.
Second 25 among Virginia seniors. Played inside linebacker and fullback.
Primarily a blocker, but rushed for over 600 yards. Recorded over 100
tackles with 40 solos, and 2 sacks for Coach Jerry Smith. Also a member
of the district championship track team. Ran the 100 and 200-meters for
the track unit. Played basketball for 3 yers. A member of the National
Honor Society. Had a 32.5 gpa and ranked in the top 25 in a class of over
200. Plans to major in engineering. Born on December 24, 1968.

Clayton Henry
6-2, 205
Linebacker
Page High, Greensboro, NC
An all-state selection by the Greensboro News & Record. Elected
co-captain of North Carolina Shrine Bowl squad. Averaged 11 tackles
per game for Coach Marion Kirby's team, which went 12-1 in 1986.
Conference Lineman of the Year. Prep school went 40-1-1 and won a
pair of 4-A titles during his last three years. Attended same school as
several Wolfpackers, past and present. Plans to enroll in criminology
courses with hopes of some day reaching law school. Born on February
25, 1969.

Tyrone Jackson
5-9, 180
Running Back
DeMatha High, Hyattsville, MD
Honorable mention Adidas All-American. Selected Metro Player of the
Year by both the Washington Times and the Washington Post. Named
by USA Today as the Maryland Player of the Year. Ran for 1719 yards
and 22 TDs on 152 carries for Coach Bill McGregor. Averaged an
amazing 11.3 yards per carry. Runs a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. A sprinter
on the track team, he has run a 10.85 for 100-meters and 22.2 in the
200-meters. Born on January 19, 1969.

Mike Jones
6-4, 245
Tight End
C.A. Johnson High, Columbia, SC
Selected all-state at linebacker by The State. In on 164 tackles, 88 of
which were solo. Also had 4 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, and a
pair of sacks. Caught 42 passes for 460 yards, and 5 TDS for Coach
Dave Jones. Started at tight end in the 1986 Shrine Bowl. Played some
quarterback as a sophomore. An all-conference track performer. Won
the shot put event at the conference and district track meets. His cousin
Anthony Jones played for Boston University (1983-86). Plans to major
in Business. Born on Augusy 25, 1969.

Lee Knight
6-3, 225
Linebacker
Huntsville High, Huntsville, AL
Played linebacker and tight end for Coach Greg Patterson. Twice named
Player of the Week by the Huntsville Times. Also kicked off for his high
school squad. As a junior hit a last second field goal to defeat
Huntsville's arch rival. Caught 6 passes for 140 yards and 1 TD. Played
basketball as a junior averaging 12 points and 6 rebounds. Posted a 3.0
gpa. Plans to major in business and hopes to become a stockbroker one
day. Born on April 5, 1969.

Dave Leistiko
6-6, 255
Offensive Lineman
Mayfield High, Mayfield Heights, OH
An all-News Herald and all-Sun Messanger seleced as an offensive
tackle. Two year starter at offensive tackle. Named team offensive
lineman of the week 4 times as a senior. Part time starter on defense.
Had 17 solo tackles, 13 assists, and 3 fumble recoveries. Led Coach
Byron Morgan's team to an 8-2 recrod during both his junior and senior
seasons. Team posted an 11-1 recrod and reached the state
semi-finals in his sophomore year. Had a 3.1 gpa. Plans to major in civil
engineering. Born on March 31, 1969.

Alex Nicholson
6-6, 220
Lineman
Clarke Central High, Athens, GA
Helped lead Coach Bill Henderson's team to a 14-1 recrod and the
state championship game. Lost to USA Today's top-ranked high school
team, Valdosta. As a junior won the state title, and was ranked second
nationally. Played offensive tackle, tight end, and deep snapper. Was
selected lineman of the week nine times during the season. Also played
basketball and baseball. Had a 3.2 gpa. Is interested in the design
school. Born on October 23, 1969.

Kirk Parrish
6-4, 250
Offensive/Defensive Lineman
Millbrook High, Raleigh, NC
First recruit to verbally commit to State. Honorable mention all-state
selection by both the Associated Press and the Greensboro News and
Record. Started at tackle as a junior, but moved to center for the state
playoffs. Started every game as a center as a senior for Coach Earl
Smith. Also played outside linebacker. Listed among the Top 25 seniors
by the Raleigh Times. A News & Observer all-East honoree. Starter on
prep basketball team. A member of the National Honor Society. Carried
a 3.66 gpa and plans to major in pre-med courses. Born on April 1, 1969.

Shad Santee
6-0, 185
Wide Receiver
Walton High, Marietta, GA
First team 4-A all-state by the Atlanta Journal/Constitution.
Honorable mention All-American on the USA Today listings. Caught 48
passes for 770 yards and 12 TDs for Coach Steve Jones. Played some
defensive back. Returned punts and kickoffs. Returned 2 kickoffs and a
punt for TDs. Also was the punter and kicked-off for the high school
team. Was a first-team all-state soccer player. Scored 10 goals, and
had 10 assists as a senior. A close friend of current Wolfpack receiver
Mike Kavulic, who played at the same high school last fall. Santee broke
a number of Kavulic's receiving records. Born on October 22, 1969.

Scott Swantic
6-0, 185
Defensive Back
Southeast Whitfield High, Dalton, GA
Versatile player who played all secondary positions, wide receiver,
quarterback, and tailback. An all-Tri-State (GA, AL, TN) honoree by
the Chatanooga Free Press/Times. Averaged 6.5 yards per carry and
scored 7 TDs for Coach Tony Martin. Intercepted 4 passes and returned
one for a 90-yard TD. Also returned punts and kickoffs. Had a 98-yard
punt return for a TD. Also played baseball, basketball, and ran track as a
junior. Posted a 3.0 gpa in honors courses, but has yet to decide on a
college major. Born on June 29, 1969.

Mark Thomas
6-5, 215
Linebacker
Parkview High, Lilburn, GA
Led Coach Hugh Buchanan's team in tackles (97), sacks (14) and
fumble recoveries (6) as a senior. Listed among the Top 50 collegiate
prospects in Georgia. Team defensive MVP. Caught nine passes for 125
yards as a tight end. Outstanding track athlete. Recorded a time of 14.9
in the 100-meter high hurdles. Placed 4th in the state in 330-yard
intermediate hurdles as a junior with a time of 38.1 Has run a 49.9 in the
400-meters. A strong student with a 3.0 gpa, he plans to major in
engineering. Born on May 6, 1969.

Fernandus Vinson
6-0, 195
Defensive Back
Carver High, Montgomery, AL
Honorable mention all-state. Member of the city all-academic team.
Played safety, cornerback, split end, and tight end. Recorder 47
unassisted tackles. Intercepted 5 passes, and had 3 fumble recoveries,
and a pair of sacks for Coach Al Pickett. On offense, he caught 32
passes with 8 TDs. Timed at 4.5 in the 40, and bench presses 300
pounds. All-metro guard on the basketball team. Averaged 18 points.
The city's table tennis champion the past two year. Had a 3.3 gpa and
plans to major in computer science. Born on November 3, 1968.

Chris Williams
5-11, 190
Running Back
St. Edwards High, Cleveland, OH
Named one of Top 150 recruits in the country by All Star Sports Report.
An honorable mention All-American selection by USA Today. Rushed
for 2345 yards and 20 TDs in 1986. Selected UPI 3-A Back of the Year
for Ohio. First team all-state honoree by the Associated Press and UPI.
Rushed for a record 368 yards and 6 TDs in a 42-7 playoof win, one of
two playoff games in which he rushed for over 300 yards or more.
Rushed for over 1100 yards and 14 TDs in 4 playoff games for Coach Al
O'Neill. Appeared in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd. Also
played baseball for 4 years. Plans to major in accounting. Born on
January 25, 1969.

Not that I expect a State U fellow to understand this, but this
thread _is_ crossposted. And rsfc certainly doesn't care about
these frequent updates on a fourth rate football team from a
fifth rate conference posted by a poorly selling import car.
