This reminds me of Kobe Bryant's fall out with Malone. It seems to
me, Kobe might have been quite right in trying to protect his wife -

That story posted does not seem to be very well sourced. Things like she was
"reportedly" 13 sounds like they could use some research. Age of consent
was 14 in some of those states 20 years ago. Louisiana still had
anti-miscegenation laws until the SCOTUS decission in 1967.

And like so many of our greatest athletes: borderline sociopathic.

There are very understandable reasons why MLB wants to claim Cal
Ripken, Jr as the face of baseball, or how the NBA wants to make as
much as possible out of what a good guy Grant Hill is, for example.
It's an uphill battle, but maybe it still plays in Peoria, who knows?
I stopped buying that crap when I was 12. YMMV.
