From the Deseret News, they reported that the Utah Jazz and Fox Sports
Utah just locked-up an exclusive deal for the next 12 seasons
(including this upcoming one). Of course, this means that KJZZ-TV
(also co-owned with the Jazz by the Larry H. Miller family) will no
longer carry Jazz games. They already reduced the number of Jazz
telecasts on KJZZ over the last couple of years, last season carrying
16 regular season games; in years past they televised 35-40 games a
year.

It makes me wonder, however, that possibly the Millers are gearing up
KJZZ for a sale, possibly reducing the headaches of estate taxes (if
they're any in Utah).

They now join the number of NBA teams with cable-
exclusivity...Warriors, Clippers, Nuggets, Grizzlies, Bucks, Pistons,
Heat, Magic, Hawks, Bobcats, Sixers, Pacers, Celtics, and Hornets. I
know Knicks and Nets will have a small handful of games on over-the-
air TV (in recent years, Knicks had games on WNBC, WWOR, and WPIX;
Nets have games on WWOR when there's a Yankee conflict), the Cavs will
usually simlucast 5-6 games a year from Fox Sports Ohio on to WUAB,
and I think the Wizards will still have a few telecasts on WDCW.
