I question if Rad is a better starter than a reserve. He's played
really well as a reserve both last year and so far this season. He's
forced to start out against the opponents' best PF and has seemed to
struggle with that. When he comes off the bench he gets more
offensive touches at the 3. He looks lost in the scheme when he
shares the floor with GP, Barry and Lewis, though defensively a zone
with GP, Barry, Mason, Lewis and Rad seems to be the best unit the
Sonics have fielded this year. The only players who should have a
green light from the arc are Rad and Barry.
Radman hasn't started since about the time James went out with injury.
I think they go hand in hand.

Last year as well the only time Rad seemed to do well at PF for an extended
period was with James at center.
Right now Rad's defense is pretty horrible, he is shooting better (mostly from
beyond the arc though) but it seems any PF, C or even SF with decent inside
moves is able to get high percentage shots against him almost every time.
Go Sonics,
