Timberwolves Sign Mike Wilks To 10-Day Contract

WOLVES SIGN WILKS TO 10-DAY CONTRACT,
PLACE STRICKLAND ON INJURED LIST

Minnesota Timberwolves Vice President of Basketball
Operations/General Manager Kevin McHale today
announced the NBA club has signed free agent guard
Mike Wilks to a 10-day contract and placed guard
Rod Strickland on the Injured List.

Strickland, who is averaging 7.1 points and 4.5 assists
this season, suffered a strained left groin in the Jan. 27
contest vs. San Antonio and has been sidelined for the
past five games.

Wilks, a 5-11 guard from Rice University, played 15 games
with the Atlanta Hawks this season, averaging 5.7 points,
2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Wilks will be in uniform
tonight in Cleveland as the Wolves take on the Cavaliers.
