D. West over on the Hornets had a similar night. 44 points and 11
rebounds.

Kobe has nights like this a bit more often, of course.

It feels like I went into a time warp, back to 2006. When the Lakers
pretty much needed 40 from Kobe every night. It's greatness.

Unfortunately, Bynum and Sasha seem to have also regressed to 2006... =

Kobe didn't have his first 40pt game last year until Dec 20, and only
four times did he get there. This year he has seven already, while in
2006 he had six at this point in the season.

Sasha played pretty good tonight.Farmar picked it up too...LO was a sleep in
the first half.I think it is a matter of concentration(Pau's FT's lately
too)...don't know what PJ said at half time but LO had a great 2nd half

KOBE DISHES AND SWISHES IN LAKER WIN

Kobe Bryant recorded 44 points and 11 assists in the Lakers' victory over
the Warriors on Tuesday night. Bryant is the first Lakers player to score
at least 44 points while registering a double-digit assist total in a
regulation game in over 35 years. The last Laker to do that in a non-
overtime game was Gail Goodrich on December 22, 1974 (44 points, 10 assists
against Portland). Bryant has done that twice in overtime games since
Goodrich turned the trick (Dec. 20, 2002 and Dec. 17, 2006).
