Bush supporters live in a fantasy world where Bush is a military hero, the
war in Iraq is a success, Hussein actually had WMDs and most people
actually saved money thanks to Bush's tax-cuts.

*exactly*

I was talking about our governor with someone that I work with. Ahnold has
made repeated runs at drastically cutting the funding for the services that
my agency provides, and yet this woman still supports him

"At least he's not boring" she said

sheeesh.

If that was a criteria shouldn't the members of the coup have voted
for Gary Coleman, the porn star, or maybe Larry Flynt?

I have found a house near Orlando that I want to buy, but I must admit
the political climate in FL is definitely a negative factor.

Please move to Florida. We already have too many illiterate half-wits in California.

As a non-repube, I must admit Ahnuld has done a great job as governator. He
repealed the car tax and got the injuns to pay their fair share of tax from
gambling earnings in the tune of $1 billion plus $250 mil annually. Grey Davis
refused to do so because he was being paid off by Sitting Bull.

Don't be so naive. Arnold and the Indians are in together to expand the
casinos. Those who are stupid enough to play the slots are paying that
billion dollar.

What's your point? So you'd rather they not pay taxes?

Why not?

I remember when I first went to an injun casino in the early 90s, it was
literally a two room trailer with no more than 50 slots. When I went back few
years later, it had grown to a size of a Vegas casino with thousands of slots.

The point is, they were growing exponentially and would've continued to do so
regardless of any deal they made with Ahnuld. But by doing so, they probably
fast forwarded a few years.

As far as the "dumb" gamblers.... I'd rather they stay in CA than drive to
Vegas and support their economy.

If you're insinuating that gambling is immoral and that it contributes to the
degeneration of our society... well, maybe... but it's well known that majority
of visitors to Vegas are from CA. So it's wrong to assume that gamblers will
cease to exist if injun casinos were shut down. They'd just go back to Vegas.

Plus, where do you think our schools have gotten majority of their funding
from, since the 80s? Gambling.

No they won't, without the deal they can't expand their slot operations.
This is a good deal for them and for Arnold, but not for the people of
California.

They've been expanding for 10 years! Some injun casinos have more slot machines
than even Vegas casinos!

Again, why is it bad for CA? Or are you just anti-everything-GOP like bozo the
ass klown.

imo, gambling is bad for everyone, not just CA. but that's just my opinion
and here in the real world, getting some tax revenue from where there was
previously none is a good thing in my book. the fact that the tribes got
something out of it too, oh well. i get something out of paying taxes as
well...
