Can't believe it!

It's kinda weird. This newsgroup is THE newsgroup for the Rockets and nobody
EVER posts anything here. Even in the Grizzlies NG, there was 16 new posts
last time I checked. The Rockets are talking to Samaki Walker, Shandon
Anderson, they'll probably trade Pippen, and they're in talks to pull off
the BIGGEST trade in NBA history yet, no one gives a rats ass. Are there any
opinions? scenarios? preferences?

Will any discussion take place EVER in this NG? Alot of Rockets fans are in
this group? Where is everybody??

I don't like Othella going to Toronto, or even Michael Dickerson. But,
Steve Francis is something else.
If the Big "O" goes, he will be sorely missed.

We have Dream for a couple more years, Chuckster for 1 more go, Pippen (I
really think we should trade his bitchy ass to the Lakers).
This is an aging nucleus. I think that this trade may be a way by which we
could rebuild a bit quicker. We are going nowhere right now.

This is what I think...

1) Ship Pip to the Lakers for Glen Rice and Robert Horry. Shop both of them
around and see what you can get.
Maybe a 3 team deal..... hmmmmmm. Or keep Horry and Rice and not resign him
when his contract is up.

2) Sign Anderson away from the Jazz.
Execute the trade for Steve Francis - he will pay off big, at least I think
that he will.

At worst that leaves you with...

Dream, Chuck, Robert, Anderson, Steve Francis, Glen Rice, Cutino, Rhodes,
Lee Mayberry.... etc (Matt Maloney)

The Rockets will be a playoff team - maybe better if the chemistry works out
well...

We need a good center though to come in and help Dream. If only we could do
some sort of Duncan deal.
Get a young athletic center, move Hakeem to PF, Chuck (off bench) and Horry
rotate SF, Anderson, Francis, and Rice at G.
It is obvious that Duncan isn't going anywhere, but it would be nice if we
could draft one next year.

Maybe trade Rice for draft picks... hmmmm.

Any new stadium talk? Mayor Brown is taking over that negotiation
himself I heard.

Getting a number 2 pick point guard has got to be a good move
I guess, but I hate to see Othello go. He may not be a superstar, but he
is a hardworking, unselfish player who added a lot to the team.
