I'd love to have M. Finley as our starting sg (he was a pg in
high school. He might still have some skills of pg like
A. Mason, who was a pg in gr. 8 and avg's 5 apg for the Hornets)
but I don't think Dallas would let him go to us in trade, save
G. Hill is included.

3) S. Augmon + D. Reid to GS for F. Spencer and B. Coles

I like B. Coles because of good defence and good pg skills.

4) S. Augmon + L. Green to GS for B. Armstrong and B. Coles

I'd like BJ to start at pg for us and give us a starting
backcourt with L. Hunter giving us two scorers giving us
about 14-16 ppg each. This would make J. Dumars come off the
bench and sometimes give us a nice 3 guard line-up sometimes
with Hunter at SG, Dumars at SF, and whosever in between
the pg's from GS. BJ was a pg in college, so he can run the
show while Grant H. sits, and he is experienced in pressur-
ing other pg's as they come up the court. It would be nice to
see him and Lindsy do that together. I think B. Coles would
be good at pressue defence too.

5) S. Augmon for D. Barros.

S. Augmon said he wants to go West Coast, but he'll be
a FA at the end of the season is what I heard his contract
states. I don't like the S. Augmon for D. Brown trade rumours
because I like D. Barros better. We can play him like
a sg when he's on offence playing pg, and he'd just might
score 20ppg for us and can
run the show when G. Hill sits. Also, I think I heard that
the only reason D. Brown wants to be traded is because there
are too many little guys on the team.

Seeing D. Barros has more trade value than D. Brown,
this trade might have to involve big guys, which Boston is
lacking in, So this trade might be S. Augmon and D. Reid for
D. Barros and M. Conlon, who I feel could be our starting
center for offensive purposes, moving Thorpe to his good old
pf spot for most of his minutes I'd imagine. I like D. Reid,
but yoy have to give to get.

6) S. Augmon, G. Long, L. Green and D.Ried to CHA for
M. Geiger, T. Smith. T. Delk and S. Burrell.

I think this is more my favourite deal than getting S. Nash.
M. Geiger is one of my favourite players. He has a big body,
and a couple times last year, he had 14+ reboud games. I remem
ber he had an 18pt, 21 reb game.

T. Smith has the body to play both sg/pg and some sf, and he
has pg skills. Solid defence from him is what I think. Him and
T. Delk haven't been getting consistent minutes in Cha. They
are kind of like L. Hunter/J. Dumars in that T.Smith has pg
skills and would play sg on defence (if T. Delk was at the other
guard spot,in most cases I'd imagine) and T. Delk is a shooter
in a (listed) 6-1 frame. I think T. Delk can shoot the lights
out and isn't afraid to launch it. S. Burrell hasn't been
shooting well, and is known for his defence. I figure S.
Augmon is a better defender than him (and also I figure has
more scoring skills), which I'd hope would make CHA and Det
make this trade possible.

You already have Delk in Hunter. Geiger would help you guys immensely. But
this would shorten Charlotte. Mason would have to play more PF. With all
healthy, Augmon would have trouble getting minutes in Cha. Rice and Mason
play a lot. And when Mason comes out or goes to PF, Rice to SF and Curry to
SG. I do not see Cha wanting to give up Geiger and Delk, whom they want to
give a chance for this package.

My 2 cents

Augmon straight up to Phoenix for Steve Nash. I am not sure if this
would work on Phoenix's end cap wise, but I think this would be a great
move for the Pistons. Nash is a good young PG that would come cheap. As
of right now he would be playing behind Kidd and KJ so he is not gonna
get enough PT to develop any time soon. Phoenix could definately use
Augmon's D low post play and if I am not mistaking he is a free agent at
the end of the year. This would be a good deal for both teams cuz it
would free up cap room and both teams would get a player that could make
an immediate contribution (I realize Nash is still unproven but I think
he could give us 10-15 quality minutes at the point).

I agree wholeheartedly. The Pistons need a PG and Nash would probably be
their best option in terms of what they would have to give up and also the
return. However, I'd think that they'd (Detroit) would probably have to
at least throw in a 2nd round draft pick to make the deal work.

Augmon for Nash will not work under the salary cap. Augmon makes 2.5
million. Nash is under 1 million I believe. Detroit would have to
receive another player to make this work.
