Here's an interesting article on Villanueva's post scoring:

http://www.detroitbadboys.com/archives/2009-12-16/appreciating-charlie-
villanueva-perfect-in-the-post/'

It notes that as good as Rasheed Wallace was at scoring inside, especially
earlier in his time with Detroit, for now Villanueva is doing better.
Charlie V. is scoring with an efficiency up there with Bosh, Nowitzki,
Duncan and Garnett at their primes.

Obviously this is too short a time to really judge Villanueva, and it's
only counting what he does on offense -- he's definitely not as good as
Wallace, though he's playing fairly decent. Still, it's showing that
Dumars did a great job in filling Wallace's shoes.

Rasheed is and will always be a 1 of a kind. No one his size played
defense as well as he did. Plenty of big men have been able to hit
the 3's and be very good post up scorers. Most of them learned to do
it in the NBA. Rasheed had that from day 1.

Charlie V. I think has all of the offensive skills that Rasheed had
and is a slightly better post scorer. He didn't get to shine as much
in Milwaukee. He'll get plenty of opportunities in Detroit. It would
be a huge bonus to see his defensive capabilities improve and they
might the longer he is in Detroit.

I was skeptical about his selection when he first got here, but I'm
plenty happy to have him. He is no doubt one of the go to guys on
offense.
