This is the time of year when some teams pack it in early, and it looks
like the Hornets did. Detroit rolled in laugher with the bench getting a
ton of time -- Charlotte only scored 10 in the first quarter.

The Hornets still played better than either team in this Knicks-Magic game,
where the two teams scored only 15 in a quarter between the two of them:

Speaking of the Knicks, supposedly Greg Monroe is practically signed by
them, although I have a hard time believing that -- NY makes the Pistons
seem like an incredibly well-run place in comparison. The Knicks are a
giant steaming mess under James Dolan, and Phil Jackson isn't making things
significantly better. And the recent incident with the Hawks and the NYPD
has got to make players wonder if they shouldn't to another city.

I think the odds are against Monroe returning to Detroit, unfortunately,
but I find it hard to believe he won't find a better situation than the
Knicks.

Monroe may have played his last home game as a Piston on Sunday as did
Tayshaun Prince who didn't even get in the game. Hornets did have 2
starters and a bench player injured and unavailable however, their
game against the Pistons in early March when they won in Detroit by 7
showed what they can really do.

Pistons go take on the Cavs who rested starters on Sunday but I've
heard they'll play in this one.

Regards,
