Whoever heard of a 6'11" SF?!

If the Bulls sign Tarlac (likely, now) and Brad Miller, they just need
a small forward.
O'Neal is 6'11". But he's too small to play center, and, as someone
just pointed out, at a tall 225, he's going to be too weak to play
power forward.
But what about playing him at small forward?
Toni Kukoc is 6'11" and played well anything but power forward and
center.
Don't know about O'Neal's ball handling skills or outside touch. But,
where Kukoc caused offensive matchup problems at the 3, O'Neal could
cause defensive matchup problems for the opposition at 3. And he could
likely post up any 3 any other team would put on him.
Am I crazy, here, or what?

From what I have heard Tarlac has taken
major steps backwards in Europe. It has
been 5 years since he was drafted and he
hasn't exactly been playing against top talent.
Assuming we get Tarlac I think we still need
a back up center.

Some don't think he can play 5 and others don't think
he can play 4. We do know this much. He absolutely
cannot play 3. The thing about O'Neal is that he is
only 20 or 21 at most and isn't going to get any smaller.
He may not be a traditional center but I'd feel a lot better
about him and Brand on the floor at the same time than
I would Brand and Miller.

I don't t hink O'Neal can guard opposing 3's. The lack of D there is to big of a
liability for his possible scoring to make up for.

Exactly. That is the first and foremost thing I consider whena
question like this comes up. Can the guy guard his position. O'Neal
clearly could not. Fizer probably cannot. Fizer could make Kukoc look
like a stellar defender, though we'll have to see............

Bulls named Brad Sellers.
He was supposed to be able to play three positions.
I remember one night where he played a whole game at center without a
rebound! The moral of the story is don't believe any hype until the guy
gets a real shot.

don't count Fizer out too fast, he may not have the quicks early on, but I
think he will adapt. He always has.

really watched this guy and thought to yourself"this guy would make a
good 3!" He cannot shoot from the perimeter, he is not nearly quick
enough to guard a typical SF, he can't handle the ball or pass like a
SF. Basically he can't possibly play the three unless it's quadruple
overtime and your team is down to five players, and then maybe........

O'Neal play SF. He even started for 4-5 games before going to the bench.
Jermaine's problem is that he is a lousy
practice player and a bad work ethic. The
Blazers say he terrorizes pick up games but does not do the dirty work and like
so
many players think that he "deserves" playing time since he has a multi-million
dollar contract.
Jermaine has very quick feet and at SF is a major force on the boards, blocking
shots. Remember, the guys who he has
trouble guarding would have trouble matching up with him at almost 7 feet. I
think that guys like Kevin Garnett will end up at SF and Jermaine at least
physically
is similar to Garnett.
The bigger issue is that the Bulls need a
Center. Of the three frontcourt positions,
center is the position that Jermaine does not want to play.
Maybe the Bulls should wait for next year when there are big guys eligible for
the
draft such as HS players and the 7 foot
plus guy from China. You guys need to
be patient and draft guys that will help you
2-3 years down the line. Don't be like the
Dallas owner who tried to get Shawn Kemp
for the Mavs. Jermaine might be okay for
you if he does not cost the Bulls too much.
