until pitchers and catchers report. We know the catchers are Pudge,
Flores, Nieves, and Burke.

Who will they add pitching-wise? Daily rumors say Matt Capps is likely
to join the Nats.

Looks like he's playing the Nats against his other "finalists", kinda
like Jason Marquis........I wonder if this is the new thing, like holding up
a carboard sign at a busy intersection saying, "Will work for the Nats", and
hope somebody's limo pulls up and whisks them away...
I mean, if a guy is willing to pitch for the Nats, surely "we could get
him" crosses the other GMs minds.

Maybe, but a more likely scenario is that on the Nats we would be the
closer. On many other teams, he'd be the setup guy.

Who'd want a perfect closer like Rivera? It is much more entertaining
to let the other team catch up and then put the tying and winning runs
into scoring position before bobbling the ball on the last out on the
7th 3-2 pitch.
